It's very easy to find CO$$$ and CS$$$ but what about CS$ or CS$$ lots? The com. service jobs that I do find are things like shops and restaurants that only have few jobs. I do not have any that are at least 1,000 jobs.  My CS$ and $$ demands are through the roof and I can't seem to keep up with them.....unless I can find lots with high capacity CS jobs. Anyone know of any high capacity CS$ and $$ lots? Thanks in advance.

The CS$ and CS$$ means lowpaying service jobs, and in this sector you don't find much else than shops and restaurants, and they'll always have a low worker to ground space occupied ratio. Are you using any mods that might distort the development of your city?

Mr_Maison

Thanks for your reply krbe! What do you mean by distort? Is ti modifying game play or are you talking about a mod causing a problem? I try my best to stay away from cheats (some are arguable). I do have NAM and a few other anti-vanilla mods installed. The city in question is 204 years old. Many offices grew and were plopped throughout the game years, but I was never able to provide commercial services to meet the demands because usually services come with very few jobs. And the ones that grow turn into offices eventually if I do not make them historical. Right now I need to satisfy 6,000+ CS$ and CS$$ jobs and the little shops and restaurants are not cutting it.

If you're using CAM, I'd suggest SimGoober's Commercial sets available on the LEX (Power Search for SimGoober). Once you get these to grow, try making them historical, so that you don't get skyscrapers growing in their place.

I am not sure I understand what you're saying but I don't think the objective is to "fill the demand" unless you are on a frenetic growth binge. When you have demands, that shows you have a healthy community. When you have zero demand, though that may not be a disaster, it certainly is cause for concern. Is your objective to have no maxis buildings? There a ton of those that fill the C$$/$ service demand.. If you require a custom content, there are a fair number including "sets". I think JMyers has some and I also believe a number of the BSC and CSX "rewards" chains often fill C$/$$ demands, but what I'd do if I were you is just go to dl locations like STEX or LEX or even the maxis site.. Peg's doesn't have much of this type I don't think.. and click "most popular" or whatever and just start going through them. For the LEX, I've done that several times and its pretty easy to do while watching a tv show.. doesn't really take long, though when you first look at it is daunting..

Mr_Maison

The problem is that com. services eventually turn into offices so I plop most of my restaurants and CS like parks. I think the demand for CS grows because they disappear as the sims get more educated. Am I right?
So I am just looking for CS ploppables with large capacities.

A lot of SG's stuff is ploppable.  ;D

Hi Mr_Maison,
I know exactly what you mean. I was already thinking about doing some big CS$ and CS$$ warehouses and hotels :)
