Hmmm...now that you mention it, it does resemble a power plant. :D  With a little modification and some other extras, it would work out great.  Two for the price of one! ;D  Thanks for the idea.

rooker1

I personely would like to see it as a factory.........maybe two versions could be released, or is that too much to ask for?  I really like your stuff and I am trying to make a very large dirty port.
Anyways....awesome as always, your lots are perfect.
Call me Robin, please.

jestarr

@ rooker1:  I'll probably do both.  Two for the price of one, as it were. ;D

Also, for anyone having downloaded my Brewsters Machine Tool, from the LEX, the uploaded file seems to have been corrupted. &mmm You'll need to redownload the latest updated version.  Cheers!

Cali

OK, it seems my computer at work is dying. &mmm  The last file I uploaded isn't correct, as the transit enabling isn't there, as it should be.  My other corupted upload came from this computer too.  Also, SC4Tool just did a complete dump on me and quit working.  I've locked the file until I get home from work and can fix it.  Sorry about that.  If you downloaded it, just delete it and redownload later this evening (after 6:00 pm CST).

Edit:  OK, it's fixed now. ;D

Here's a pic from test render #4, to show my progress to date.  I've been adding some textures, changing them, and adding some more, etc. :D  These will probably be the one's I'll end up using, although I'll do some dirtying and adjusting along the way.  I still have some things that need fixing and I need to add some stuff, including roof junk.

Zaphod

wow cool, I am currently building a city with a very old industrial area and this should look great, maybe doubling as a power plant with certian props on a custom lot

anyways, just curious, have you considered doing any art deco industrial BAT's?
War Kittens !?

jestarr

Zaphod:  Did you have something particular in mind?

Fledgeling

I like, except the windows are very plain and boring &mmm such a large expanse of windows... i hope you can do something with them

Couchpotato

I really like this.   Maybe some flashing or something around the base of the chimneys.

bat

The new textures are looking beautiful!

jestarr

Thanks for your comments folks.  They're greatly appreciated.  OK, here's a pic of test render #7.  I've added some roof stuff, made some flashing for the base of the smokestacks (just for couchpotato) :D, and started working on a glass texture.  Everything is still subject to change, as I'm always adding and subtracting stuff, until the very end. ;D  Still a lot to do, but it's getting there.  Cheers!

Rayden

It's looking good as usual. I'd better reserve some extra space at Shosaloza for this baby  :P

bat

Very nice glass texture and great detailing on the roof!

kimcar

&apls Yeap great glass texture . Thanks for the Bud lot by the way.

Couchpotato

That looks awesome  &apls &apls    and thanks for flashing  $%Grinno$%

It's definatley coming together now.  How about a patched up window or maybe even a broken one and some graffiti on the walls.
What ever you decide, I'm sure it will look perfect.
Call me Robin, please.

jestarr

rooker1:  I'm sure I can find a broken window or two laying around. :D  In other news, here's a pic of my first in-game test of the casino boat.  It's just a draft render, so I could check for alignment with Simgoober's canal pieces.  I think I've about got it whipped into shape. ;D

goin2chicago

the factory looks awesome! i like the testures and other details. the casino boat is also pretty cool, reminds me of louisiana.
