XiahouDun:  Thank you!  I think I started experimenting with that particular effect when I was doing the Peace church and school.  It doesn't always work and varies a lot for the desired effect.  The detailing on the crown is completely different and had to stay separated into multiple pieces.  So it all depends...

Matt:  Thanks!  Me?  Nuts?  Well there's something I suppose we all knew already anyway...  :D

Pat Riot:  The numbers were indeed an eye opener.  Your wait for the main entry is over, too.  ;)

I finally got back to some of the lower parts of the building.  I added the main entry and most of the trim around it.  There will be a little more to do, but not a whole lot.  I'm also toying with an idea to make this side closer to a w2w setting.  So I tried something that I'm not real sure whether I will keep or not yet.  Here's a look:

The strange thing is that, even though this was a complete afterthought, the extension would actually make for a perfect fit on a 3x3 corner lot.  I just got lucky there and really wouldn't need to make any adjustments or resize anything.  The back is just roughed in for now for a visual.  Anyway... what does everyone else think?  Yay or nay on this idea?

I also decided I might as well do the street shot and beat everyone to the punch.  I also just figured that since the entry is so deep, this would be a nice way to see what will get covered up more in the game angle.

That's about all for now...

That could be taken as an understatement.

I most say you keep amazing me, time after time.

Please do keep it up.

Pat Riot

I am definetely not slobbering allover myself when i look at that last one.
okay, i am.  ;D

Krio

I fell off my chair when I saw that..that..BEAST! It's huge and offensive (in a good way). ;D

If you make it as W2W building, then it will be the best W2W ever  &apls

thundercrack83

Outstanding, my friend! And I agree--I think the W2W would make it even more amazing! But either way, it's simply outstanding!

Wow Jon....I stay away for a few days and look what you accomplish....wonderful... I might have missed it in fast reading thru to catch up...but where did you get the inspiration for this beauty?
Sometimes I go into my own little world....but it's ok, they know me there.

Heblem:  Thank you!  I started on the back today.  Not nearly as many details (thank goodness!), but still a few interesting things to look at.

Mauricio:  Thanks!  I'm keeping the idea for now... so we'll see if it lasts until the end! ;)

Vester:  Thank you!  I'll try to keep things rolling a bit longer yet...  :D

Pat Riot:  Ummmm... thanks!  Here's a towel though...  :D

Krio:  I'm sorry you fell off your chair, but I'm glad you like the building.  The building won't be a full w2w no matter what I end up doing... just the first three floors as shown.  The tower portion will still "stand alone" either way.

Dustin:  Thank you!

Duane:  Thanks!  TopCliff actually sent me a link on this one.  It's in Sacramento and used to be known as the Cal Western Life Building.  It is currently being rennovated and renamed as the Citizen Hotel.

Well, I managed to get a fair chunk of the rear elevations finished this evening.  There isn't a whole lot back there, but then again... it's the back so what do you expect?  :D  There are a couple interesting features where the cornices continue here and there...

Obviously, I haven't done the lower three floors yet.  But pretty much everything above that point is finished in this view.  Well... everything with the exceptions of roof junk and that undecided balcony idea.  So there you have it...

Is the least you deserve with your latest endeavor's with the BAT, obstacle course building and midnight excursions.
I like the development into a 3x3lot/w2w lot.
This is the type of building that needs to "show itself off" and a corner setting as the start of a nice w2w section ..... yes I can see it now :D

And the detailing trick   which fools the eye  &apls

yep I think I like this  :D :D

Fledgeling:  Thank you!

RebaLynn:  Thanks!  Oddly enough, I originally expected this one to have fewer details than the last... but apparently I was wrong!   :D

Sim Shady:  Thank you!

AlfredJones:  Thanks!  (also one word)  ;)

Hogmeister:  It's been a slow birth... but hopefully it will grow up quick!

Dustin:  Thank you!

Hope all is well. Sorry I haven't commented here in a while. School's back in now (that was a quick spring break), and it's right back into things. The arch area of your new building turned out well, and the back is coming along nicely. I like the balcony idea but I think the building also looks fine as it is (how's that for an opinion?). My only thought with it would be that it might look out of place, being a commercial looking building and all. Good to see the Buder building out to the public (I may have to start making denser downtowns now). Let us know when you hear news on the move, and I'll see you next update.
