NOB has graciously given us permission to make Prop Packs, and update his works.
So, now available on the LEX:
NOB Mega Props Vol01 which includes the building models for the Civic buildings found at http://hide-inoki.com/~nob/lot.htm
NOB Mega Props Vol02 which includes all of the major Seaport & Naval props from the same page.
And NOB Mega Props Vol03 which contains the smaller props & boats for his seaports & naval packs.
Included in each zip is a Cleanitol file, to remove any duplicates now found in the Mega Packs.
More to come soon, so keep an eye on the LEX.

I'm very curious about what is going to happen now....

Is it in some way advantageous to use the mega prop packs? I have used all NOB harbourlots for some time now. Also I have made a lot of edited ones for my own purpose, mainly emptier versions of NOB's originals.
Or is this just about loading time of my game?

If you want to create your own harbour (and especially if you want to upload them), with props made by NOB, it is a lot easier to use a single prop pack (or two) as a dependency, rather than pointing to multiple individual uploads, which may contain functional and less functional (read: growing empty) buildings and lots that are not required.

If you already use all harbour lots by NOB, you do not have to download any mega packs replacing models that you already have.
However, loading time would probably come down a little, in the same way as DatPacker takes it down.

And if you want to download other (read: made by Rooker1) harbour lots, partially using the same props,
you would benefit from having them in prop packs rather than scattered around your plugins folder. :)

Thanks RippleJet.
Well, if I have lots that used NOB's props within thier own files I probably would end up with double files. Useless memory fillers.... I get the picture.
I have never heard of Rooker1, where can I find her/him? Not on SC4D or Simtropolis....

I installed the 3 new NOB Mega Packs and notice that I still have the "empty lots" for the 5 seaport lots. I ran cleanitol and then manually inspected that all old models were removed. But maybe these packages were not supposed to correct that problem since in the description it did not mention this subject. :-\
Also I noticed that when I bulldozed the lots that the back foundation wall remains and all of the wall for the upper left corner going down to the water front remains.
I'll put these back in my holding area file.

For the LNG property I noticed that the "Tanker-03-LNG2  0x51ab4b60" model was the only model that was not replaced. So I assume that it was in good working order. Thank you for you great work.

Oh oh it is on the Cleanitol list. Need to up my eyes. ::)

and I'm loolking forward to some works by someone in the world wiht NOB san's great PROPs !! :)

High5Tower: All of NOB's models were impeccable to start with, but putting them into prop packs helps in many ways. It speeds up game loading times. It's easier to download and keep track of dependencies having them all bundled into several little packages. And it's convenient for lotters, having a nice selection of props to work with all in one pack, so the number of depenencies required can be kept to a reasonable number. There will be more NOB Mega Packs to come.

Updating the lots is still a work in progress. But having the Mega Packs available on the LEX ready for when the lots are released will help to avoid the confusion for most of us that happens while looking around a Japanese site.
