havnt had spring break yet, because massachusetts weather is so messed up they moved it to the end of april so it wouldn't be sleeting cats and dogs.  :D

The rail station is a great start, and i hope you know (sadly) the highlight of my day will be plopping your latest in my city.

Don't forget to make a diagonal version!

Um.....Please?

Looks great, Jon! I think the parking lot would be a good idea, too. Can't wait to see it!

I'm off to bulldoze my current rural train station :D

Agreed. ;) The train station looks great, and like Kevin said, this would work great as a part of your Smalltown series.

And about the hotel... When we first moved to Corpus (that was like, 14 years ago and I was 5 at the time) we had to live in a hotel for a few weeks. It wasn't too bad though, because we had some nice views of the beach.

After a long absence, I'm back! And I will be starting a new MD soon.

XiahouDun:  Well... I still have to either learn how to mod a rail station of con someone into doing it for me.   :D  You may want to wait a little bit longer before you get too carried away. ;)

Kevin:  Thank you!  This is definitely a Smalltown lot waiting to happen.  My first station was going to be done with wooden siding, but I'm sure I can find something else for that too.

Pat:  Thanks!

Pat Riot:  Still sounds better than the highlight of my days lately!   :D  I guess you have a while to wait for your break then... Michigan is cycling threw them right now.  I have no employees to put on the schedule next week!   &sly

Dragonshardz:  As of this moment, I will no longer forget a diagonal version. ;)  As long as it can be done that is.

Dustin:  Thank you!

John:  Thanks!  I'm sure the hotel thing won't be so bad... I think it's just the fact that I'm not sure how long it will be for that bothers me.  But what can you do?

I'm glad this seems to be a popular idea, because here's another one!   :D  It's mostly just a different variation on the same theme... the styles are very similar, but the detailing hopefully sets them apart from each other.  This one is even smaller and could actually fit on a 2x1 if I wanted it to... but I doubt I'll actually do that.

There are still some finishing touches to add for this one.  Then I'll go back and light both of them.  With any luck, I should be able to finish both of these over the weekend and get them exported.  After that, we'll see how lucky I can get with making them function.  ::)

Now those look good. I think the only thing that I would suggest for the first station, and maybe the second, would be some luggage or crates or something for the long distance traveller, unless of course they're meant to be commuter stations only. You are doing something I have been meaning to do (make some smaller scale stations) but haven't due to a lack of spare time recently. Law school is fun, but it keeps a person busy. Incidentally, where do you find the time for all of this? I could use a few time saving tips. I do have one question on the smaller one though. Do you have a plan for that bare wall on the second floor? It looks like the perfect place for a sign or something. Good to hear there is some certainty with the upcoming job now. Hotel life shouldn't be too bad and I hope the training is an interesting process. Take it easy and I'll talk to you later.

Matt:  Thanks!  I don't really have a specific use in mind for these.  I still have some final touches to add to both platforms, so adding a bit of clutter can easily happen then too.  The bare wall you mentioned is indeed reserved for a sign of some sort, although the more I look at it, I'm worried that it may still look pretty empty... but we'll see.

Edge:  Thank you!  I"m glad you like them!

Pat:  Thanks!  We actually came to the conclusion in my BSC thread that the second station is cute.  Several people are waiting to take her out and show her a good time.   Personally, I just love the way her roof fits... mmmmm!  :D

Talk to y'all later!

Love the stations, they are exactly the style and size for what I do now, small New England towns. Perfect.

Pat:  In all honesty... I set myself up for that one last night.  Your comment just happened to be close enough that I carried the joke here too.   :D  Here's what really happened... (as requested by the lawyers, names have been changed and/or removed to protect the guilty)

Here's another one... even smaller!  ???  It's so freakin cute though, isn't it?   :D

Exactly, what's a nice station like you doin' in a thread like this?  :D

I bet I could show that station a good time...  :D

So you see... the joke's really on me this time, I just tried to pawn it off on you!   :D

Duane:  Thank you!  I suppose "no employees" was a bit of an overstatement, but I am down 4 or 5 people out of an 18 person staff.  ::)  Oh well... going out with a bang, I suppose.

Fledgeling:  Thanks!  Glad they'll come in handy.

I think I have finished both of these now.  Added a few things here and there and did the lighting, but that was really about it.  Here's a look...

In other news, my laptop arrived today already!  So I'll be able to actually start transferring everything over to that during the weekend, which will be much better than having to rush it at the last minute as I expected to do.   :satisfied:

I am really looking forward to the release of these. The lighting is good, I like the small suitcases etc. adorning the platforms, but I'm still curious about the small station and that sign. It still looks bare, or the sign looks too small, though it does look to scale with the building. Glad to hear the laptop has arrived and I hope it works out well for you. I also hope the labor shortage works itself out too. If anyone could handle it, I'm sure it would be you. Take it easy.

Cute things are very annoying. Theres this house in my town that is about the size of the box guitar hero is shipped in, and everyone things its cute. I think its very ugly. however, your cute station is not very ugly. but it is not sexy either, so don't get any ideas  :D

enough ranting, awesome station  &apls

Lookin good Jon....on the (cute & kind of provocotive) small station, I like the ramp and agree with Matt that maybe a small "something" on that wall would look nice also....maybe an advert for the Scottish Inn & Pub down the street :D
