Like everyone else, I do think that those skylights need a change.  Perhaps making larger ones would look better, but that might have the same effect.  Otherwise, the building looks really nice.  Great work on the commercial building, too.

I think if you tone down the reflection (or diffuse map) on the skylights they will look OK.  At the moment they look like mirrors.

bat

Also agree with the others! And the building is looking good there so far!

Thanks for all your comments folks.  They're greatly appreciated.  I've been fairly busy, with RL stuff, but I'm still working on a number of BATs (currently 17), in various stages of completion.  Here's some test render pics of a small sampling.  As usual, the applied textures are only for visual appeal, and the models, still being in a state of flux, are subject to change. :D   The first is assorted shops, fitting on a 5x1 lot.  The tables are only there to show how the finished lot may appear.  Next is the tire warehouse.  I'm still not enamored by the skylights.  If, after I texture the glass and the roof, I still don't like it, they're history.  Last, but not least, is Luithlen Dye Works.  The colors, for all your clothing, have to come from somewhere, after all. ;D  So, that's it for now.  Cheers!

I think they have come out nice great work.

hydra:  Thanks!

RebaLynnTS:  Thanks, I'm glad you like it. :)

So, I've started the initial attempts at texturing this one.  This isn't my favorite part of BATting, as I pretty much suck at it.  I've, also, been fiddling with the window treatment and lighting, which I may finally be able to get right, thanks to JBSimio. ;D  There's still a lot to do, but it seems to be coming together rather well, so far.  Cheers!

First of all... my apologies to anyone who got excited when they saw a new post in this thread.  Unfortunately, it doesn't mean the Jestarr has put up new pictures for us all to drool over...  ()sad()

Jestarr, I went on a big downloading spree to catch up on a LOT of things I have missed in the past.  My industrial folder was frightfully empty and I wanted to say thank you for filling it back up.  I think I added about 50 things just from you today.  My hotel stays should be much better thanks to all your wonderful content.  Thank you very much!  &apls

Jess, everything looks awesome as always.
I was wondering if you could rip apart this model into a single low building and a single high building.

Y'know Jess, these long, low brick industrial buildings would make great railroad shops with some larger end doors, skylights, and an interesting lot with the accompanying yard. Not only that, its something that hasn't been seriously undertaken yet... ;) ;)

Edit:
And here's a postcard of the Cotton Belt Shops in Pine Bluff, Arkansas in the 1910's, just for some inspiration:

BigSlark:  Thanks for the pic!  Inspiration is always welcome. ;D  I think I have a few rail buildings, a roundhouse and a turntable, somewhere on my multitude of backup disks. :D  I'll start looking.

Rooker1:  Something like this?  If so, I'll finish this and the one-story, too.

Pat

Jestarr that is looking sweeeet!!!!
