ok folks.... zero 7 has kindly rendered some container props for me, of varying colours... but i think it would be unfair to burden him with all my rendering.

I would please ask anyone with 3dsmax 9 or above to please consider offering their services to me as a renderer i think i have some real gems in here and people are always complaining i never release anything. I have devised a method that zero7 can vouch for that does not requirer the renderer to retexture the model.

so anyway here is the big list of projects ordered according to their status...

COMPLETED AWAITING RENDER

eight various scenes to be made into two prop families of large scale intermodal cranes...

also their tracks...

the IMAX theatre from London - designed to be made into an overhanging prop to fit perfectly in an avenue roundabout.

Generic warehouse - only got round to doing a draft render...

and finally the expansion pieces for Callagfrx canal set... 8 pieces i think

MODELLING COMPLETE TEXTURING REQUIRED

the geoseismic buoy as i like to call it.... came from a scifi art rendering - will eventually be modded to be mayor mode tree plop....

MODELLING INCOMPLETE

Building akin to the VAB at cape canaveral just based on an abstract architectural sketch by he soviet architect IAKOV CHERNIKHOV in the 1920's

A very tall slim scifi CAM industry mech lot, around 130m tall on a 2x2 lot its basically a giant Heatsink

A neogothic cathedral.....

another very slim CAM industry this one a 4x4 smokestack lot.

anything else you have seen pictures of by me is either a write off/ corrupt file/ needs restarting or i just dont like it.

I would like to clear some of this backlog but i cannot unfortunately do it alone.
NAM + CAM + RAM + SAM, that's how I roll....

Looking good.   :)

I like the imax theater in particular, but the render isn't giving it justice.

I have 3ds Max 8.

Awesome stuff.  &apls

My favorites of this well-varied bunch were the cranes, IMAX theater, and the industrial warehouse.  It's great to see a fellow individual who values diversity in their industrial areas.  :)

Sorry that I can't help with the rendering, but good luck in getting these beauties finished!

Guess who's back.... the gods of BAT4MAX have shown favour to me it seems and functionality has returned. first up on the chopping block is the IMAX....

note: this last one has no caustics but lanzco filtering and 4,4 min max sample whereas the previous two have caustics an 1,16 min max sample with standard filter.

and the all important first successful in game test, alot of LOD tweaking is still to be done, but this first attempt uses a 12 sided cylinder.

NAM + CAM + RAM + SAM, that's how I roll....

callagrafx

Why have you got straight edges on your LOD?  Make the LOD a cylinder, it'll still work.
The trouble with having an open mind, of course, is that people will insist on coming along and trying to put things in it

mightygoose

thats what caused me all the problems last time
NAM + CAM + RAM + SAM, that's how I roll....

callagrafx

Never had a problem with them...I rendered Glenni's roundabouts with cylindrical LODs no problem.  Try it and if it errors, can you post the error here.

That looks amazing-I'm eagerly awaiting this

Is it to scale or made to fit the roundabout intentionally?

I'm back
