Cattle farmers put iron grates across a hole in the road to allow traffic to pass but a cow won't.  Cheaper than the cost of a full blown cow gate.  I can't find a pic of one but i'm sure everyone knows what one looks like.  If you know where a cow grate lot is, that whould be great, but I can't find one.

Thanks, Peter

Peter, these are similar to the cow grates and were made by CSX. Here in Australia, such grates are often placed in front of the entrances to farms

Hope this helps

To Matt: Those entrances are very nice and I have them, but there not what I'm looking for.

To Gaston: Thanks, the middle one is perfect.

Here's a pic for anyone who cares to try to bat this, thanks to Gaston

No problem petercintn.   You gotta remember I was raised in TN and now live in IA.   I have seen and driven across alot of these in my time.  Although they are not as common here as you'd think.   I guess with the snow in winter  would fill them in and make them useless.
They would proably need to be transit enabled at least for streets.   But not necesarily so.  I suppose the could work like the farm entrance lots that mattb325 posted a link to.    I also have them and would still love to see the cattle grate made.

I can't find them anywhere!  Must of not got uploaded during one of ST's gliches.  But I have them and will e-mail, IM them over to you if you'd like.  This is the name of the file, 'Install_CSX Entrance - Farms Vol 01'  Here's a pic just to make sure were on the same page.
