some advice on airports please

i have played this game for a long time, but in a rather sloppy way.  I would like to put in an airport, but dont want to go stock.  i've looked for a tutorial on the topic but cant find one; maybe some suggestions on what plugins would be a good place to start off?

If you are looking for the ultimate custom airport experience then you just need to search for airports at the STEX or LEX. Personal favourites are the ACB VLT Terminals and Jets Series by Ace_bovenodeberg over at Simtropolis. You will need to download both packs...

Secondly these sets are designed to work hand in hand with a set of RMIP Small Airport Edition Lots created by Voltaire and are again available from Simtropolis. I have linked to Volume One for you but you will need to download all them (4 sets in total).

In terms of getting advice on how to build them check the readmes that come with the RMIP packs as they give a detailed overview of building realistic runways in simcity 4 and personally i would use google map to look up airports around the world to see how they are laid out.

As for finding a tutorial on the building of a decent custom airport I simply typed 'Airports' into the search tool in the top right and came up with a thread called 'Realistic Airports' which can be found in the 'How to Build a...' tutorial section. this thread also contains a link to a detailed tutorial over at Simtropolis that contains information on how to build runways using the lots i have suggested.
