That interchange makes my head spin   :P

My vote goes to mjig_dudy

1-0 in mjig_dudy's favour

Hey - thanks for all who voted in the three rounds to get Houseboats on Herrengracht into the HoF.  Also thanks to Kitsune, threestooges and sam johnson for three great pics to compete with.

But the biggest thanks to Derry, The Tea Cat for letting me have an exclusive on his canal boats - they were the focal point of the picture.  I think we have another talented batter in our ranks now.

And to this round.......

mjig_dudy:  I like the two big towers, particularly the one on the right.  It sits well above the station.  But the expanse of the station roof and those blank walls on the W2W buildings leave the picture a bit "empty" for my taste.

patricius maximus:  That is one crazy intersection there.  But when you look at it closely it does make sense and is certainly original.

So my vote to Patricius Maximus.

ties it up at 1-1

Congratulations to Paul for his Hall of Fame picture!

As for this round...

I have to agree with vester--that interchange is crazy! It shows some great patience and skill putting it together.

However, the picture the mjig_dudy has submitted gets my vote. The train station (which I've never seen before) fits in beautifully with the rest of the buildings and the adjustments made with Photoshop (or like program) are right on.

2-1, mjig_dudy.

Patricius Maximus: This is one of the best interchanges I've seen here. I know the amount of time that you have put into this area. Very nice.

mjig_dudy: I like the mix of buildings you have in this picture, but overall it does seems a bit gray. Nice subtle use of the SAM you have in there...it complements the picture.

My vote goes to Patricius Maximus

Now I see how those interchanges got the nickname "Whirlpool"  ?=mad)=

However, I love mjigs pic, so he receives my vote this time around.

3-2 mjig_dudy

Bringing the pictures over........

Congratulations to paroch for his entry into the HoF!

That's an amazing interchange Patricius Maximus, it shows a great amount of effort and I applaud you for it! The only thing I would like to see would be some shadows, simply adding them should be able to "lift" the picture - considering all the elements in the picture - at the moment the trees blend too much with the terrain and makes the image seem "flat".

Great city there mjig_dudy, de-saturating the image effectively communicates the gloom of inner city life. Flipping the picture was also a good move, it would have been even harder to notice if the tiny minimize icon was cropped out.

On these points, my vote goes to mjig_dudy.

mjig_dudy 5
Patricius Maximus 3

mjig_dudy leading by two votes

P.S I would like to say thanks to everyone for the fantastic round between warszawa and me, a well deserved HoF entry from warszawa indeed!

Q-Tips

Patricius Maximus's interchange actually makes sence when i study it. I'm not most happy making NAM's highway because of the amount of work it demands, so i can hardly imagine how much work this must have taken.

mjig_dudy's picture is great looking with a decent mix of wall to wall buildings. And the rail station looks to fit ok with the rest of the buildings. But i give my vote to Patricius Maximus.

I vote for mjig_dudy, Pat. Max. would've gotten my vote is those pines/redwoods would not have been repetated that much. They would never be able to grow that high, because the age of the interchange could not be very old.

I'll vote for PatMax on this one. I really like Mjig's inner-city vibe, but the grayness makes it seem so dull.

8-5, Mjig leading.

Its past 24 hours, so that would mean Mjig won and we need a new challenger.

Hard choice !

Well Sam J. with some trains on those track you would have got my vote, but

it goes to mjig_dudy

1-1 tie

paroch

Now maybe I am biased towards canals!  But that is a great shot there Sam.  Vester is right, a train on the track would have completed the pic, but even without a train it is very well constructed.  Love the SFBT W2W apartements, the road, then trees, rail and canal, with the footbridge over canal and rail lining up nicely.  It gets my vote......

Sam Johnson 2-1 mjig_dudy

thundercrack83

I'm going to go with Sam Johnson, too. The canal looks great, as do the rails, but I also like the high speed rail and GLR in Avenue up at the top of the picture, too. Of course, as has already been pointed out, some trains on the tracks wouldn't hurt, but this showcase of different modes of transportation is fantastic!

3-1, Sam Johnson.
