I've decided to try BATing, I have 3ds Max so I can export .3ds, and I need a glass "roof" over one of my highways, I know it is possible to make transparent shapes in max, (by using the opacity in the material editor?) but  i read somewhere that if you just export this it won't appear like that in reader (unless importing as 3ds file into the reader?) It'll be cool if you could still see the cars passing on the highway, I think this possible because of the semi-transparent stations by cogeo?

Any help is much appreciated, even if it's "this can't be done".

It will render with the appearance of transparency, but will in fact be solid.  I believe there's a method for editing the .s3d file but do not know what it is.  Andreas knows I think...
The trouble with having an open mind, of course, is that people will insist on coming along and trying to put things in it

Jan (swamper77) and Andreas knows how to do the editing with Reader.
