Hello again and thanks for the feedback.

I had to redo the whole thing due to some mistakes...anyway it seems now everything is working. I have the very basic working set, which included four pieces. Straight, Inner corner, Outer corner and water filler.

toxicpiano, no,the final LODs are almost simple planes. No underground LODding for this set. Anyway, I changed the design, so the water is a very close to the terrain level.

Very nice!  I like how you managed to get a bit of translucence with the water (a vast improvement over the previous sludge-like samples), which is quite difficult to do with canals (I've tried, so I know!).
I was also wondering if there would be a set without an outside fence, as the fencing looks slightly distracting, right next to the earthy brown walls, and grassy slope.  Unless those are props, then forget I ever said that.

I also like the connectors you used. I am designing a connector which is 1x2 tiles, but this gave an idea to make a smaller one as well.

Now back to BAT...

In the meantime, I have started a new expercience with the particles system. I am for from being satisfied, but this is how my idea about an universal connector starts to look like....



Unfortunately, many details will be lost after the final render, and many things have to be fixed, but I hope you get the idea

Ok this will work with the 2 wide canals ... the problem comes with the 1 tile wide canals and ditches ... what we will need is something like the sloped end you did but 1 tile wide and with some small corner remnants that can  connect to the walls ... what I did with that cascade is to lay your one tile prop on the end and then place rocks over the wall part and added the spray animation. It works to get into a POND ... what we have to figure out is a piece that can connect to the ditches or 1x wide canals and then open up to a two wide JRJ Canal piece.

This is a really nice concept as well  .

I understand about a "small to big" connector, and I can do one using the concept I showed before. I go back to bat 

Suddenly an idea comes to my mind....some sort of semi-transparent waterfall water, which could be used as a prop ?¿. It should be feasible with the MAX....writing it down for the to-do list...
