I'd love to see some details of your gridcity.
Although we all suffer from grid distaste (we even try to make things like the FAR (great work!)), a real ugly grid can be very nice if done well!

just a quick question, how to take the big region shot?

With the SC4Plugin Manager, you can make a big region shot. There is a function for it in the program.

this is a test shot of a region I gave up some months ago when I embarked on my current Jakarta MD. It is based on the island of Mindanao, Philippines; the map is made by flamesrock (click here).




As for my Jakarta project, I'm coming up with a massive mosaic of the whole city (not a region shot, you'll see  ). I'm having quite some trouble finding a good image hosting site that allows me to upload large files (around 10Mb) and opens up the large image in a new window, instead of asking to download the file.

Any help? what is the right link to post in the forum? 

btw, do you guys know any good free program that converts bmp or png into smaller size files without loosing to much quality? when I save my pictures into .jpg the results are quite bad.

Very nice region jacqulina, I esspecially like the map.  It has a very interesting shore line with several lakes and streams.  Did you make this one?
