Streetlight725 those streetlights on the first page were old models that I never released because the woodpoles were to fat. I will be making ones that look like those streetlights for this mod eventually. Streetlights will show up in lot editor. deathtopumpkins,you can remove the woodpoles_I80_Placement dat from the Set 1a folder and that will remove most of the woodpoles. Also if you use the the road tool you can change the way the poles or streetlights show up.

Wow! These are fantastic! I would also like to plop them in game as i prefer plopping streetlights on RHWs. Other than that these look great on streets, roads and avenues. Thank you :)

Plopable streetlight lots will be made eventually. Unfortunately I'm having trouble getting some of the models to show up. When I load lot editor the models show up as really ugly looking chunks of buildings instead of the streetlights. When I had this problem in the past I would make the lods slightly longer and they would show up. One of the models won't show at all no matter how much I lengthen the lods. How do I i fix this problem?

This is a great set, and it has quickly become a mainstay in my SC4 plugins folder.  However, I am experiencing two issues.  For some reason, whenever I use the Maxis Euro-Contemporary Building Style in combination with the I80 Streetlight Mod, many of the Maxis Euro-Contemporary Buildings are replaced with square concrete lots that contain only I80 streetlight props but no buildings.  Additionally, the plain wooden poles never appear at all when I use the mod, regardless of which zones develop next to my roads.  Is there a conflict with some other mod I am using?

EDIT: I dl'd the wood poles, and they now appear commonly.  Almost too commonly.  :)

I have to say I like the models, as the streetlights look much better than the Maxis ones, but i'm experiencing the opposite of metarvo's complaint about the wooden poles, even after trying what you suggested earlier they still appear at random on everything from high-wealth, high-density to low-wealth, low-density. And I have 2 other problems to report too. If a low-wealth lot develops or is plopped next to a road with NAM turning lanes and a light appears, the turning lanes don't show up. I've tried clicking on the road again, and the turning lanes show up in the yellow preview, but not on the actual road. Lastly, on avenues there seems to be no rhyme or reason to when the lights are on the side or in the median. I don't have the side placement dat installed, like it says to keep them in the median. I think until these issues are resolved I'm going back to using the Maxis lights.
Hope you understand all the problems, and sorry for the lack of pictures.

I don't have the problems with the streetlights at turning lanes.They work fine.I go on a lot of streetlight websites and compair them.It look exactly the same.I-80,Best Streetlights in the game.I always hated maxis streetlight.I-80,Can you have some downtown streetlights like these?You did a good job.A++++++++++++++++++++++++ &apls &apls :) :) :D ;D :thumbsup: :thumbsup:

mrtnrln thank you so much for your help in getting this mod up and running.

metarvo my mod only affects the streetlights. It shouldn't affect buildings. You might need to download the woodpoles a few pages back. I forgot to include them in this beta but the next download will have them included so it's not as confusing.

deathtopumpkins I never had that problem. Thats really weird,it might be some conlict with another mod or you might need to put it in your nam folder so it loads after the nam.

I actually have a model that is similar to the one in the first picture made in BAT. I haven't put it in the game yet.
I would also like to make ones with stoplights eventually.
