My personal opinion is that if an image has any medium-density or high-density buildings, it is not a suburb - just strip malls, small office complexes, and houses. Possibly an apartment complex composed of several buildings spaced far apart, biggish parking lots in between, all buildings identical, preferably 2 or 3 stories. Logical organization not necessary.

Here are a couple of mine, from various cities which may or may not still exist:

My days here are numbered. It's been great and I've had a lot of fun, but I've moved on to bigger and better things.

Heres an in game single family residential neighborhood of mine. Nowadays, its all different builders for me. However the real life city I live in, doesn't want to be a suburb anymore or something, because now there are high rises/condos out of place when they are surrounded by housing developments, and some houses, new ones look odd, because just like SC4 there are tear downs going on, and building giant replacements, especially in the 19th century neighorhood, although existing subdivisions are getting hit, certain neighboring cities are experiencing this redevelopement thing as well but these new houses don't always match, and can be giant mansions on tiny lots. &sly

This is a really nice looking suburb, nerdly_dood! Two nice pictures!

Nice work there, j-dub! And nice photo shopping.... ;)

Those are some fine suburbs, nerdly_dood.  Especially that diagonal one.  I am a die-hard NAM diagonal street fan.

Not yet a big city, but on the way being a suburb:

I created a mod that replaces all in-game trees with the ones made by Cycledogg; he did one himself some time ago, but it had some external dependencies, so I made my own version. :)

Those streetside/roadside trees and the "fractional angle" (to use a 3RR term) houses are looking really good, sEAhAwk fAn121.  Might I ask which ones you are using?
