Thanks, everyone! I'll get to replies eventually (some day **sob**) Here's another smallish update:

This one is to a song by my favorite band, King Crimson. It's not entirely focused on the pictures, but it's still a great song and the tone is awesome. So, Here's I Talk To the Wind by King Crimson. Please enjoy!

i1
Said the straight man to the late man
Where have you been
Ive been here and Ive been there
And Ive been in between.

i2

I talk to the wind
My words are all carried away
I talk to the wind

i3
The wind does not hear
The wind cannot hear.

i4

Im on the outside looking inside
What do I see
Much confusion, disillusion
All around me.

i5
You dont possess me
Dont impress me
Just upset my mind
Cant instruct me or conduct me
Just use up my time

i6
I talk to the wind
My words are all carried away
I talk to the wind
The wind does not hear
The wind cannot hear.

i7

i1-This is the Tuamoth lake, which was dug out by glacial activity during the last ice age. It is now fed by the watershed of the entire valley in which it is located.
i2-a small stream meanders by a small pasture for sheep
i3-The road passes by the same stream and its small waterfall. The other side has larger pastures for cows.
i4-This bridge crosses the Tuamoth Brook and leads to the main town. It's a very small township, though only a few minutes from Kornari.
i5-Tuamoth Township at night. The stream marks the edge between town land and the Manor land that was established in the middle ages and still remains as pastures.
i6-The Manor overlooking some of its fields. This is one of The Big Country's most significant historical sites.
i7-a final picture of the town and Tuamoth Brook.

That's it for now... see you soon!

Just want you all to know, I'll be gone this coming week, so don't expect an update until late next week! Cheers, and thanks again for the honor of being in OSITM!

EDIT for those who are paying attention:

I have really bad news. My computer is dead, and we don't know who or what dunnit. Until we have revitalization, I don't know if anything is still there. We can hope.

dedgren

Hoping against hope that I'd check in and see that your computer problems had been resolved and that this most excellent MD was back up and running.  That not being the case, TM, the hope now becomes that you find another computer- my guess is that the things that made The Big Country great would show right back up in a new work.  In any event, one fan (and I suspect many more) will certainly be waiting to see what happens.

Well, my computer is fixed, but it's been a while since I've played TBC region. I intend to start it up again when I install it on my new laptop (yay!) and transfer the old plugins and regions to it.

I had been working on another project on a different computer while this guy was fixed, so I'll show you that stuff for your patience, and just to prove i'm not completely lazy ;)

Cheers,
Matt

paroch

Good luck with the Plugins transfer. I keep my fingers crossed for you - no SC4 player deserves to lose any of their work in my opinion!!

A nice mix of contrasting styles you've just shown us.  From Brit suburbs to Med villages - ah yes, very nice.

I know what you are going through - having the same problems myself.  I got a great new PC, but still no internet connection because my modem was to old to handle it :angrymore:

I do miss the music with the picutres - so looking forward to a real big country update.

OMG, an update. BUT, guys, I've got some bad news. It's not the same region! Yes, while I have the region, I found my attention had become diverted to another project (the one I was placating you all with earlier). So, the Big Country is now Greater Hyspatia, as I call it, and it's new logo is Horizons (working logo lol), though the journal will remain The Big Country, and the other region is intact (tho neglected) on my external hard drive. So, without further ado, I bring you the NEW Big Country.

Our song today is  Cities by Talking Heads. Note this is video is most of the album. The first song is the only one that pertains, just so you know. It ends around 4 minutes into the video.

j1

Think of London, a small city
It's dark, dark in the daytime
The people sleep, sleep in the daytime
If they want to, if they want to

j2

I'm checking them out
I'm checking them out
I got it figured out
I got it figured out
There's good points and bad points
But it all works out
I'm a little freaked out
Find a city
Find myself a city to live in.

j3

There are a lot of rich people in Birmingham
A lot of ghosts in a lot of houses
Look over there!...A dry ice factory
A good place to get some thinking done

j4

I'm checking them out
I'm checking them out
I got it figured out
I got it figured out
There's good points and bad points
But it all works out
I'm a little freaked out
Find a city
Find myself a city to live in.

j5

Down el Paso way things get pretty spread out
People got no idea where in the world they are
They go up north and come back south
Still got no idea where in the world they are.

j6

I'm checking them out
I'm checking them out
I got it figured out
I got it figured out
There's good points and bad points
But it all works out
I'm a little freaked out
Find a city
Find myself a city to live in.

j7

Did I forget to mention, to mention Memphis
Home of Elvis and the ancient greeks
Do I smell? I smell home cooking
It's only the river, it's only the river.

j8

I'm checking them out
I'm checking them out
I got it figured out
I got it figured out
There's good points and bad points

j9

But it all works out
I'm a little freaked out
Find a city
Find myself a city to live in.

j1--Recreational harbor in the city of Breene, where our visit today focuses around. Two large warships, one old and one new, serve as local museums.
j2--tight suburban sector of Breene. The houses are tightly packed, as can be clearly noted.
j3--The GHS Collanthra served for many years in the Hyspatian Navy before being retired and restored as a museum vessel.
j4--Downtown Breene, with it's extensive parkways
j5--The Breene Metropolitan Hospital is renown for it's open nature with the community, with extensive training and outreach programs for aspiring students.
j6--These three rail lines cross the Sideriver Parkway to breene Central Station, and generally service the entire area with direct lines to the city.
j7--The Torrington Bay Ferry crosses the large bay and services the coastline of Hyspatia
j8--Torrington Bay Tower serves as the centerpoint for Breene Skyline.
j9--A daytime view of Breene. Because of the extensive and beautiful open parks, most walk to work.
j10--shopping district around Midtown

All right, guys, glad to be back! I'll try to keep up with this and college and RL! Cheers,
Matt
