Going down now.  It was $4.10 a gallon last time I filled up.  It got as high as $4.50.

Tarkus

It's getting to be surprisingly cheap on the west side of Portland . . . a lot of places are selling regular unleaded for $3.79/gallon.  It's come down a lot in the past month--a pleasant surprise.

Shadow Assassin

It's dropped below A$1.50/litre here now, which is a bit of a relief.

I just heard a couple days ago that it's under $3.50 a gallon here in southwest Virginia (maybe $3.47 i think)
My days here are numbered. It's been great and I've had a lot of fun, but I've moved on to bigger and better things.

Old fisherman never die, they just smell that way.

Up in the western fringes of the Portland, OR area (where I am right now), it's $3.69/gallon at the local Chevron, which has some of the cheapest gas in all of Oregon . . . certainly in the Metro area.

Every gas station here sells at the same price...no competition amongst the dozen or so around town.

The average in the Austin, TX area is $3.57 a gallon, but the 7-Eleven down the street from my house has gas at $3.48/gallon, and the lowest gas in the area is $3.43/gallon.

I was listening to the radio the other day and they were talking about how petrol prices NEVER go down at the pump in Ireland. Pretty typical of this country to be honest. It's 1.34 per lite for unleaded and 1.44 for diesel (in euro) here at the moment.

jjune4991

today i got gas at $3.649 US. i did get $3.639 a couple of days ago, but that station went up to $3.699...no thank you!!!
Wha??? Where am I? Oh, that's right! I'm here!

BourneID

I live here in Mississippi...  the price jumped from $3.45gal to $4.67gal overnight.... and has been going up thoughout the day...  though it will stop finally by tommarrow at $5.46gal by the end of this weekend because we have state laws to provent price guaging....

My brother-in-law works for one of the local gas companies and most of Mississippi and east LA supply terminals are out of fuel so stations are limited to what they currently have in their underground tanks for at least the next 7 to 10 days.

Our local distribution terrminals recieve fuel though pipelines leading up from Houston which is why they are shut down... They will be getting fuel though over the road tankers... which is the reason the price will be in the $5.46 to $5.80 range wholesale.

I do a lot of driving in the San Diego-Riverside corridor in southern California. Highest price ever was a few months ago at (I believe) about $4.19. Got some this morning at $3.61.

Gas's shot up from $3.60~3.65 to $4.19~4.89 here in Central Illinois. Odd that the price spread is so high, but it must be a supply shock.

Well with the news of Hurricane Ike, gas on the Outer Banks of NC (just south of me) shot up from about $3.40/gallon to $5.09/gallon, as people stocked up fearing a shortage because of the storm. Around my city (Hampton, VA), it went from about $3.30/gallon to $3.899/gallon today. There were some pretty long lines everywhere, and many stations sold out after a few hours.

BourneID: Hope that doesn't happen here... better go fill up now before it gets any higher.

I can't give you per liter, so I will give it to you in gallons.

For gas, it is $5.58-$5.60.  For diesel, it is over $4.50.  Central Minnesota, USA.

Tarkus

Well, it seems the price issues haven't really hit the West Coast--at least not yet.  I just drove by a few gas stations, and the prices I were seeing were in the $3.73/gallon range.  That's about what they've been for awhile now.
