Generally, I have very few icons on my desktop, but lately with all the map making going on and organizing my HD to burn about 40GB worth of files to DVD, has left my desktop full of icons. That won't last very long though as I can't stand a desktop full of icons and making it look cluttered

Thanks to one of the posters above I now use something like this, but it changes as I also use a black screen that says something rather dreary about life and the internet when Im in a not so great mood or not feeling so hot.

The funniest thing when I started to use this screenshot, my partner walked into the livingroom where I was watching tv and pronounced that my great homebuilt Vista superhorse of a computer had "crashed" once again.

Is that Vista? Funny, that's how it presents its "Blue Screen of Death" cause if I remember, that blue screen of death appears on older versions of windows.

Here's mine. You can tell that I use my desktop to put icons for things that I'm working on or need to remind myself of often, and my Quick Launch is where (nearly) all my program shortcuts are located. I can tell you what's what if inquired. EDIT: Image resized from original 1280 x 1024 size to comply with image regulations.

Here are a couple of mine that I just couldn't resist sharing.

The longest covered bridge in the US, near Ashtabula, Ohio, is 613 feet in length and was just completed in August 2008. This is on my laptop at home.

While not a screenshot of my work PC desktop, this is the image I'm currently using. I love the contrast and colors.
