Well, that query is equally wrong. $%Grinno$%

The animation below shows what the query should look like,
for all 6 growth stages (the one you've got is still stage 1):

I would still recommend that you reinstall AC Functional Airports 1.0,
just in case the main file has become corrupted or something.

I would also recommend that you run Cleanitol with the file attached to this post.
That would ensure that all conflicting airport controllers (that we are aware of) are removed.

The file attached is actually the Cleanitol file for AC Functional Airport 2.0.
The only difference is that I've added one more conflicting old controller that we've found.

I'm sorry, I posted the wrong picture.  I have fixed it now.  It does show what it should.

I reinstalled the whole thing earlier today.  it didn't make any difference.  I also ran the cleanitol.  Looks like I am out of luck on this one.

Ok, yes. That's exactly what it should look like!
In that picture it does seem to have a railroad connected though?

jonno

Yeah, but this isn't a picture taken in the city in question, because I can't load up that city, which is the whole problem.  This is just a picture to show that the heliport does work.

Ok, got it. ;)
Are you able to bulldoze the heliport in this city without getting a CTD?

jonno

I can bulldoze it as it sits there just fine.  But if I do the same railroad puzzle piece over top than when I try to bulldoze the building will collapse like normal, but when the dust cloud clears the building just keeps re-appearing.  And than it will eventually CTD.

It does indeed sound like a problem that might be hard to solve... ()sad()
Do you know exactly which rail ramp it is?

Is it one that's inlcluded in NAM or is it one that you've downloaded?
Maybe you could provide a picture of it, so that I could test it myself...

jonno

I'm pretty sure it is the ramp included with the NAM.  You can see the menu that I got it out of in the picture.  The picture also shows what happens to the heliport when I put the rail overtop of it.  You can see how the rail and avenue passing through the lot disappear.

jonno

By the way, thank you so much for all the help.  I appreciate it.

RippleJet

Thanks, jonno! :)
Then it is a puzzle piece after all...

The heliport isn't truly Transit Enabled, it's only Network Enabled.
Maybe that's the reason it won't CTD when you plop the ramp.

I need to get some sleep now, but I'll get back to this when I've made some testing myself. ;)

Swamper77

That is indeed the Rail Ramp from the NAM's Raised Rail Puzzle Pieces. Strange that it didn't force a crash to desktop upon being plopped onto a transit-enabled lot. Just out of curiosity, are you using a PC or MAC? MAC's behave a little differently compared to PC's when a puzzle piece gets hovered over or plopped on top of a transit-enabled lot.

I wish it was a MAC.  It's a PC.  Windows Vista.  I have found that some problems I run into on my desktop, will not be issues when I use my Windows XP laptop.  for example I had one city that would crash whenever I would build over a certain spot on the map, but I didn't have any problem building there when I used my laptop.  It doesn't solve this problem though :(
