Great renaming!
I love that mosaic as I always do.
The developped (read grown) buildings look typicaly like mine. Somy's 01 and 02, SFBT's residentials (grosses Miethaus & kleines Miethaus) Jebel blove on shore, etc. makes me feel right at home  ()stsfd()
Great how the rail road goes up. Wonderfull done.

HEY What's that you missed buldozing some road lots! ()sad()
I also noticed some missing texture at the dirt road/rail road crossing in the middle (next to the church).

I love how you done the start of the river, from the glacier, first using PEG's pond tiles and then transition it into the canals. Interesting.

question why did you use so many roads and not streets?

Final word on this mosaic: MOOI!

Uh-oh!  Get out the four-foot (1.2 m) tall monitor, Silvio's back with another "little" mosaic.

Nifty stuff as always, my friend.  The sharp-eyed among us have already spotted and commented on all the detail stuff- I just enjoy sitting back and trying to take it all in.  It's ingenious how you've used those locks to move that stream down a pretty steep hill- bet there was some great kayaking buried under all that concrete.

Reminds me a lot of valleys filled with development miles/kilometers long but only about a half-mile/a kilometer or so wide in northwestern Italy.  You've got a marvelous feel for that sort of landscape.

'Til next time...

Beautiful mosaic, Rayden! And, as David pointed out, it's huge! I love the canal locks and the train station, especially!

"Eagle-eye"  has spoken ... so I've spent a few time to search road lots & missing textures . :D

The terraforming and canal locks are the most impressive for me ...( because I really suck with that .)

Hola Silvio,
Loved that last mosaic! Very ingenious use of the locks! But looking at the nearby apartments, and with the sound of all that water rising and lowering all day I just can imagine some dialogs....
child... "Moooooommm"
mother..."yes dear"
child..."I have to go to the bathroom..."
mother... "AGAIN!" **mumbling to herself... we have to move... if not I'll go crazy!**

hehehe... just kidding amigo! I really like the "blue collar" ambiance of it all, except of course for the judiciously placed high wealth condos on the top of the hill... I wouldn't mind living there!

Great work my friend
Take care

Great work Rayden. You pack a lot of interesting stuff in that narrow valley. I usually don't care much for MDs with really tall mountains, but this one is very interesting and keeps drawing me back.

Rayden

Hey, so much feed back, thanks guys. First a couple of quick answers.

Nice mosaic Rayden :)
a question tough: where did you get the big boulders of the river?
Meldo

As usual, here I am with my find the links for my friends  ;)

That's not missing textures, and that's one of the reasons I don't use more streets on high density cities. Look bellow at the picture. The other reason it's, on high density cities, the streets soon get completely crowded with cars.

We're slowing getting there, the update is almost ready.

See you guys later. I'll answer everyone's posts later too.

Take your time, my friend...but hurry up! No, I'm just kidding! I'll be waiting to see what you have in store for us next.

Nice work on the region veiws and renaming shots Rayden.
I love the close in shots showing the beautiful detail too!

If you have time, could you explain how you went about renaming your cities.
I would like to do that at some point too.

emilin

Wow! Very impressive mosaic (and nice closeups too). I really like the canal system, and that it actually starts with a stream. Very good sense of realism.
