Robin (rooker1): Official word's on the way, my friend!

Paul (paroch): Thanks, Paul! And don't worry, the royalty check's in the mail!

Derry (TheTeaCat): Thank you, Derry! We'll see if your answers are correct!

alan_vzla: And we'll see if yours are, too!

Matt (threestooges): Hi, Matt! That is the texture on the ground in the game, I raised the elevation of the entire tile up to get to the point where the terrain mod produces so, then went from there softening with the God Mode tools until I got something I was happy with. The idea for it came to me while laying in bed the one night, and it was a lot of fun to play around with! Good luck with your shopping, too! I'm going to try to finish mine up tomorrow afternoon. Take care, my friend!

projectadam: Hi, there! The official answers are forthcoming!

It's quite early in the day, but it's shaping up to be a bit of a hectic one again, so I'll take care of things early!

DECEMBER 16

Another industrial shot, showcasing those wonderful Logistics Centers again! I was plopping and bulldozing over and over again, until i got my two favorite ones in the shot—Maersk Sealand and Hapag-Lloyd. It took awhile, but finally, I got it!

Moving on...

It was another quick round for Monday! Here's the official answers...

Official results for December 15...

$400: Robin (rooker1), What is Nunavut?
$800: Robin (rooker1), What is Proportion?
$1200: Derry (TheTeaCat), What is Lemon?
$1600: Paul (paroch), What is Honolulu?
$2000: alan_vzla, What is the Netherlands?

And our current money standings...

For "Not One, Not 2, But 3 O's," each correct answer will be a word with 3 O's in it.
For "Vowelless Fruit," the clue gives the name of a fruit without the vowels. Name that fruit.
For "Really Busy Airports," please give the city of the airport described, not the airport name.

Happy answering!

Down at the girlfriend's again until Wednesday, so that update that I've been alluding to will be a bit longer. Sorry about that, friends!

See you soon!

For $400 - What is a Locomotive?
For $800 - What is a Papaya?

Great picture once again, Dustin!  I really like the newer warehouses mixed in with the older industirals...

Until next time...

Hey Dustin,

Great idea to switch it up a little.  The more people that can play the better.  Good thing there was still one more for me to try and answer. ::)
Awesome picture for today.  I see a really nice TE LOT, I don't think I've seen that one before.  Where did you get the "Maersk Sealand" LOT?
We are now at the halfway mark for the month, I hope you still have alot of steam cause everything so far has been awesome.

See you later my friend,
Robin

Hi Dustin - hey the early update threw me out!!!  :D

$1200 - Where is Beijing?

Interesting Warehouse zone you have shown us there - although I'm not sure I'd want to park my car in the car park of the warehouse in the top left  ;)

$2000: What is Manitoba Lake?

Nice industrial shot, Dustin! You're really good at making industrial areas look interesting.

Since I noticed this after I posted above, does it matter what order "lake" and ther lake's name appear in, or will you accept either order?

Ooh, special time for this round. I'm sure some of these have already been guessed, but let's give it a shot anyway.

$400 What is a Locomotive?
$800 What is a Papaya?
$1200 Where is Shanghai?
$1600 What is the Bay of Biscay? (only one I could think of)
$2000 no idea... What is Quebec?

Going back to the previous picture, were those gray spots under the trees caused by the mod then, or the trees (I haven't messed with a snow mod before, so I'm not sure what the properties are). Looking through the effects of the pic from this update, I see a very nice layout (and some really neat buildings too), but the smog effect gives it that little bit extra. Well done Dustin.

Jon (JBSimio): Hi, Jon! Thanks for your kind words, and for playing! We'll see how you did in a few seconds!

Carmine (CarmineHilton): Hey, Carmine! Good to see you again, my friend! I'm glad you're enjoying things here in Marathon, too! Oh, and I just noticed, so...Happy birthday! Hope your day is wonderful!

projectadam: Thanks for playing! The official answers are on the way...

Robin (rooker1): Hey, Robin! You can find the Logistics Centers by cogeo on the STEX. Have fun with them...I know I am!

Paul (paroch): Hi, Paul! Caught you off guard, eh? You got your shot in, though, so that's OK! Thanks for your kind words, too, my friend!

Derry (TheTeaCat): Hello, my friend! Thanks so much for the tea! And don't worry, there's a few more rounds to go...well, around!

Zack (woodb3kmaster): The answers are to follow, my friend!

Matt (threestooges): Actually, I haven't used a snow mod for that picture. I just raised the terrain so high for the entire tile that the snow from the terrain mod kicked in. The grey patches are my rock mod from the slopes in the terrain. Hope that answers your question, my friend! Thanks for coming by and for your wonderful words!

Another early-bird special...or quite a late night, however you want to look at it!

DECEMBER 17

Autumn on campus! I really love seasonal trees, don't you?

$1200: projectadam, What is Beijing?
$1600: Carmine (CarmineHilton), What is Bay of Biscay?
$2000: Robin (rooker1), What is Lake Manitoba?

While there was a spelling mistake in Robin's answer—he spelled it "Manatoba" instead of "Manitoba"—the phonetic spelling was correct, and correct spelling was not necessary for the clue, as it was in our last spelling issue. They would have given it to him on the real Jeopardy!, so I made an executive decision.

Here's the money!

Things are tightening up a bit at the top, so it's anybody's ballgame, heading into Wednesday's round!

And speaking of Wednesday's round...

...it'll be coming later! Want to keep everyone on their toes!

I'll be back home by tomorrow afternoon (weather permitting, we're having some precipitation here in eastern Pennsylvania), so I'll be posting the Wednesday questions then!

Also, we're slowly but surely approaching the 400 comment mark already! Did I mention how great all of you are?

Back in a little while!

bat

Some really nice new pictures there! And looking forward to more...
Nice work on your MD!

Lilojame

Hi my friend!
I am very sorry for missing so many of your wonderful updates! I liked every single picture that you posted. Every time that I come here its like "WOW"! You are doing a superb work in here!  &apls

Visit my MD Rainbow Falls or check Rainbow Falls Out of the Box or maybe check on my bats&lots visiting Lilojame´s Corner or if you wish go to Lilojame´s Candidacies.

JBSimio

Yay!  I made it on the board!!!  :D

I also love the seasonal trees... quite possibly one of my favorite additions to the game, really.  It looks like you've added a few extras too.  ;)  I like this picture a lot (for some odd reason) and the lighting effects you've used really make the buildings look great!  I hope to see more of the campus in the future.  (Did you remember to download the patch by the way?)

See you next time!
JB

Wow, go AWOL for a week around here and it takes six weeks to catch up! Love the dailies, especially the 15th and 17th. I'm sure I join many in choosing those as favorites. Also enjoyed the tute on tunnel making - very helpful.

Later...

Dustin, that is a terrific picture! Is that one of your custom lots? If so, you've really come a long way since you first started working with the LE.

bat: Thanks so much, bat! Your support is always appreciated, my friend!

Karin (Lilojame): Hi, Karin! No need to apologize, my friend! I'm glad you stopped in and that you're enjoying things! Take care!

Jon (JBSimio): Congratulations for making it on the board, my friend! Seasonal trees are one of those subtle, yet very important additions to the game that, without them, I don't know where I'd be! And I wonder why you like this picture...Ha! The Clayhurst set is just fantastic, my friend. I'd say it was your best work, but everything you do is your best work! And, no! I did not get the patch—I'll be downloading it posthaste! Take care, Jon!

alan_vzla: Wow! Thank you so much for that, my friend! There's some great pictures out there, though, so I don't know if I can include myself in that category!

Joan (Jmouse): Hi, there, Joan! I'm glad you're enjoying the daily pictures, my friend! They've been so much fun to make, I don't know what I'll do when December's over. Thanks for coming by!

Zack (woodb3kmaster): Hi, Zack! Thanks, my friend! Sadly, that's not one of my own custom lots. It's part of the University of Clayhurst pack, put together by your great friend and mine, Jon (JBSimio)! As of right now, I believe the pack is exclusive to the SC4D LEX DVD, but I'll have to check back with you on that one.

OK, it's time!

My plan for the rest of the evening is this—

1. Download the patch to the University of Clayhurst pack! (Thanks again, Jon!)
2. MD Stats...It's Wednesday, right?
3. Eat.
4. Get into SC4 and wrap up the next update!
5. Wrap presents.

With any luck, I'll be able to get all of that done! Eating isn't a necessity, though, so I miss that one, I'll do it tomorrow!
