Problem with japanese sunken walls

I've seen so many pretty pictures of these being put to use in a variety of ways... However, when I use them they just look like crap... The terrain shows through, they have dumb shadows, and sometimes the fences at the top appear underneath the grass.


Am I missing something?

Also, as a space and time saver, anybody know where to find the grass plains with the little trees from this picture? I've searched and searched with no luck.

This isn't my picture, so its not the japanese walls that are circled, its the grass between them that isn't.

well, I made this wall for plop them at only bump 15m. so your result was normal. ;D
It's not fit to use them at the place where an incline changes.

I do understand... Are there any slope conforming walls that are more green (but not plain grass)?
