Ahh, yes THAT I do plan to do.  Grassy banks, just takes some work to get it to looks right with the game settings.  The white is rocks, which you can make out when you zoom in on them.  I've tried a few things with limited success, but thats the next plan.

What I hope to see some day is something that resembles the next picture.
Maybe not so clean, but with some reeds and cattails etc. I'd say: existing shrubberies.

Graag gedaan.  And I'm not as far away as you think...  ;)  Actually, I'm visiting your lovely country again in a couple of week.

And yes, they are what I want to create too, the problem is getting them to tie in nicely with the terrain mod.

OK, one of the problems I had with creating my ponds was that it was tedious work replopping them all to replace the Pegasus ones that I had used so I made a quick mod that will replace his ponds with mine.  This can be found here: Diggis' Streams Peg Replacement Mod

This is purely a cosmetic change and removal of the Mod will restore the Original models to the lots.

I'm happy to do further versions for any other sets that are required.  It's not a huge amount of effort.  I did Pegs first because that was what I needed to replace.  Also anyone wanting to know how to do it feel free to ask, it's a simple process that can be applied to most sets like canals etc.

SimNation

Would you be willing to turn the Goober brick canals into a Cal Canal version?

So, Diggis, nice work!
Will this stir up PEG in his feelings towards the BSC?

And also: do you still consider to make a green version? I'd like that very much. Thanks.

I honestly don't care if it does.  He is more than welcome to do a version that replaces mine.  I did this because I had used his streams and wanted to change them to mine.  As you can see from SimNations post above he has a similar problem with Cal and SG's canals.  Bet neither of them would have a problem with it.

And Yes, I do still want to do the grassy version, I was struggling with it, but I will get back to it.

SimNation

Well I just plan to change the water (if thats possibe). I like the brick of Goobers orignal canal with the paths and all next to them. Hoping with Diggis method I can change the water of the orignal Goober brick canals to match the dark reflective look of the Cals. I just like how Cals water looks more then the originals.

Diggis

Hmm, no unfortunatly it's all or nothing on those.  The water and walls are rendered as a single piece.

djp

Hi, I've just downloaded your update to change all my streams to match yours and I think you have missed a couple of pieces

The centre and right hand side of a bridge don't show at all, I changed the bottom pieces to your bits to check if they were ok

and the water fall is the old water colour

Is this something I've done or can you fix it ;)

I can't check the bridge at the moment but do have this showing that the waterfall seems fine in my city.

Thanks Barbie,

The only thing I can think on the water fall is I un-installed pegs latest version for the previous one with the (MTP?) edges instead of the plain ones that came with the later version - maybe the water fall is different on that version and didn't get updated.

Ahh, yes, that waterfall is a seperate model.  It's a different one from Barbies.  I don't have a model to replace that, although I am working on a similar concept.  At the moment I don't have any waterfall models, although it's very high on my list.  The aim was to replace the majority of the pieces so that replopping whole river systems wasn't necessary, so I'm not too worried about the ones I don't have a model for like the waterfalls.  I will try and finish off a model as soon as I can get it right.

As for the bridges, weird.  I'll look into that.  Thanks.

Edit:  OK I think it's a rendering issue with the Normals of the LODs.  Not sure how I got them flipped, but I'll take a look this week and get it updated.

SimNation

Well that sucks...I am just gonna leave the original canals alone then cuz I love the brick paths and such for it.I know I could just remodel the whole thing but unforunately I do not have 3d studio :P. So I shall just leave the canals be. Hope to see some more interesting conversions though come out from your tinkering though.

Diggis

Right, I think I have solved the problem with the bridge pieces. Just rerendering and I will get them into testing.
