Does LE have a limit to the amount of lots that will load? Last time I entered it seems that many lots are not loading. I have many lots that I have altered and they did not load for whatever reason. My plugins folder is 1.6gb.

Also, when I view base and overlay textures the program background (the light blue part) is showing through and is rather irritating. They used to be opaque, not transparent, I'm afraid something has gone awry.

Last, is there any quick trick to placing effects and knowing how and where they will show up in game?

I don't think there's a load limit but it can be unstable with more that 1.5ish. Depends on your computer. Try removing stuff your not using. I think the second problem is that you haven't any textures on the lot. Third: No, but practice with several lots and load them with minimal plugins.

Too much chocolate today MG?  He is talking about in the LE, not in the game :P

There is a limit indeed. There is a limited number of LotConfigProperty positions (that is, textures, overlays, props, and whatever can be placed in the lot editor, except the building) , but I dont recall the exact number atm.... I am sure Tage has the exact information  ;D

You can always try making smaller lots to get the final result

Re reading your post, you are asking about lots, not props, and the only thing I could think is that somehow your lots are outside your plugins folder, or that you are searching them with the wrong name.....

mmmmm Easter chocolate yummies!!! (strange cackle and then a weird gurgling noise comes from pat)

Hey there jabl0me,
OK really here I do have to say Jeronij might be on the right track there that one of two things is happening here... When editing lots in LE its always best practice to have the lot you want to edit in your plugins folder and what ever dependency packs and textures you want to use...  by doing this you will notice the load time on LE a whole lot faster and easier to use on your system resources too  ;)

I hopppity hope those tips help out,

Patrick

I found the missing lots. I just assumed since they were still showing up in the game that they must be in my plugins folder. I had moved them to a temporary location since I wasn't playing that tile for a long time. It's my home made airport and that is a very large folder so I removed them for the time being to help load times. I'm not in the habit of moving files in and out and had forgot I moved them. It's funny that the game still found them and didn't show brown boxes since they were on a whole other drive, which is what had me perplexed. (or are they in the save game and still show up until you'd delete something and try to replop it?)

Thanx for the help!
