calibanX, as I think I mentioned in your MD, I really like those pictures. However, as j-man said, that RHW/Diagonal road intersection is quite awkward. While you can't convert a RHW directly to an avenue, you can convert RHW -> One Way Roads -> Avenue.

calibanX

Ok, that took a little time, but I worked through a little problem I had with the joining of Maxis Avenues and RHW divided highways. I've tweaked it and the result is very satisfying. As Splime just said above this post I thought those two couldn't be joined. There's a way to do it and a way not to do it. I, of course, generally do it the wrong way first. Thank you j-dub and thank you Splime. Keep the constructive criticism coming.

You guys are great. Pic is edited above. We'll just keep this little episode between us.  :P

Adrian, I miss you man.

This is a first, thats a diagonal street with all diagonal houses. I have gotten some of those houses from that Matt builder to grow on diagonals, but not all next to each other and across like that perfectly. I have not seen these type of houses set on a beach community like that, and can't think of where in real life either, because these are still single family type homes.

I was just experimenting and they all popped up. EDIT: Plus now I use the Block Maxis Buildings too.

Heres a new one I did. Its interesting how the same diagonal house grew at that one side on the diagonal street. Yes, they really grew, its possible so long as the lot is assigned corner street connection requirements, and you put the NAM ped tiles in between the open space. I do that, and eventually they grow into this, but they may not start with these diagonal buildings at first. It does not look like it, but all these lots in this neighborhood are only zoned 2x2, but 2 or 3 houses tried to grown in that space. As you can see the culdesac that backs to the main road, ended up getting the most houses surrounding it, and filling that space.

And another irrelevant fact, the farm field on the left, I was messing around with zoning while the play button was still on, and it managed to grow a giant farm field without a building, or barn because of that.

In summary, diagonals grown on diagonals, and bigger houses closing around culdesacs, I would like to see others come up with 2x2 neighborhoods with culdesacs like this.

Madame Mayor

This is my first attempt at a gated subdivision.

The top and bottom halves.

I gave them some activities inside so they wouldn't have to leave to have a swim or a game of tennis.

I also came across a statue of a swordsman. When I noticed the sword overhanging the street I came up with this idea.

I'd appreciate your comments and suggestions. Thanks!

Tag, as an admirer of yours, your comment means a lot, thanks! I'm trying to step up from the Plop-o-Matic city building style, lol!
