Well, those ghettos look like... ghettos  ::)

The area looks good, as good as ghettos can get. I'll have to try my hand at making ghettos again; it's been awhile...

Hi Dustin,

Been a busy week here, but I've been dropping by to look and the pretty pictures when I can.  It looks as if Marathon Island is experiencing quite a building boom these days.  Oddly enough (as my typing voice drips with sarcasm), the results of said building boom look pretty darn good! (notice how the sarcasm dropped away from my typing voice after the comma there?  inflection... damn useful conversation tool!)  The downtown area is amazing... excellent choices for the buildings!  They really fit together well.  It's nice to see that, even as dense as it is, there are still a few areas open enough to let the sun through.  As for the housing projects, well... nobody makes them better than Marc so how could you possibly go wrong?  The block long parking alley is a great touch.  I also really like the way the buildings along the waterfront are a bit shorter... proving that even the under-privileged (I probably spelled that wrong) can have a nice view from time to time.  ;)

Take care, my friend!

Arthur (art128): Thanks, Arthur!

Robin (rooker1): You're right, Robin—the low income stuff that marcszar has made is incredible! I just simply can't get enough of it! Hope all is well with you, my friend!

bat:
Danke schön, bat!

io_bg: Ha! I didn't see that bug! Thanks for catching it! Take care!

Alex (Driftmaster07): Hi, Alex! I'm glad to hear that the transfer went well! Thanks for your kind words, too!

Luke (Luke09): Thanks, Luke!

Dan (dsrwhat316): Hi, Dan! Thanks, my friend! Ghettos are one of those things that I find fun to play around with. There's not a whole lot of work involved, especially since marcszar made it so easy for us with his wonderful creations. Hope to see you again soon!

Haljackey: Thanks!

Jon (JBSimio): Hi, Jon! Thank you for your very kind words, and for the inflection behind them! That's hardest part about non-verbal communication, sarcasm (something of which I am a big fan) doesn't translate well! I'm so happy that you're enjoying things, and I hope to see you around very soon, my friend! Take care!

Thanks to Robin (rooker1), I'm...

...contemplating a Plugins Folder Reorganization! Note that I used the word "contemplating"—it's not a small task at all. We'll how things turn out I guess.

In the meantime, I'll be spending the weekend working on other things as well...What other things? I'm not quite sure...yet!

Enjoy your weekend!

Glowbal

I must admit, that you give me lots of inspiration for my own regio.  ;D

Btw, I'd like to see a regional overview of Marathon.

KoV Liberty

A regional overview would be nice! The region transfer did go well but I can't change the region name. Oh well!

My new MD. Check it out if you wish.

Adrian, I miss you man.

Luke09

Take care,
-Arthur.

(Oh and BTW, yes an overview of Marathon will be nice (maybe take an overview of each tiles and make a panorama with photoshop ! ))

Glowbal: Hello! Welcome to Marathon! I'm so glad that you are finding inspiration from things here, that's probably the best compliment I can get! Thanks so much!

Alex (Driftmaster07): Hi, Alex! To change the name of your region, go to your "Regions" folder, open up the folder of the region you want to change, then click on the file named "region." It should open up in Notepad, giving you the regional settings. Once there, just change the name after "Name =" and save. Open up the game, and your region should be renamed. If you run into a problem, just let me know! Take care and good luck!

Luke (Luke09): Hey, Luke! Yes, my folder's gotten pretty big! As of right now, it's 1.60 GB, but I've got a lot of other stuff that's not in there, so it can grow even bigger. Thanks for stopping by!

Arthur (art128): Ha! Thanks, Arthur!

Our newest friend to Marathon, Glowbal ask for a region shot, which was also requested by all of our other friends today as well! So...

...there's Marathon Island! It will take a bit of time to put together a full region shot with the mainland for you, but until then, you can check out UPDATE XXXIII: The Commonwealth of Marathon Presents...The Commonwealth of Marathon!, which has some older shots of the entire region. That's a good place to start! In the meantime, I'll try and put one together for you!

In a bit!

Some nice teasers over the last days!  $%#Ninj2

I see there's plenty of space left for new and amazing projects. I'm curious to see what's next.

Regards.

Rogier (rajacobs): Thanks so much, my friend! We've still got plenty of space to work with, you're right! I hope I have enough ideas to fill it all! Take care!

Darra (darraghf): Indeed I do! Thanks for stopping by!

Alex (Driftmaster07): Thanks, Alex!

Jayson (sithlrd98): Ha! I didn't think of it like that, Jayson! Great thinking! I'm glad you're enjoying things. Hope to see you again soon!

Geoff (calibanX): Thank you, Geoff! And I will be very careful with the reorganization, too—if I undertake it at all. The urge is subsiding a bit. We'll see what happens, though!

Well, Abitibi Square called me back into her clutches again! Here's the latest...

Part of me wants to finish this area and move on, and another part of me hopes that it never ends! We'll strike a balance between those, too, though, don't worry!

Oh, and a HAPPY FATHER'S DAY to all our fathers out there! Enjoy yourselves!

More from Marathon is on the way!

The overview looks great Dustin, we can see that a lot of things are planed. Also, nice start on Beaubourg lot.
Take care,
-Arthur.
