DESCRIPTION

The Miliwaki islands are a fictional set of islands in the Pacific. Miliwaki City is the Capital city and the Capital Port City. It was founded in 1917 and was slowly built up from there. Because of limited space the cities are built up more than out and are compacted close together. The ring Island was created by a prehistoric Volcano Called Mt Edward that sits in the middle of a huge bay. The country is Still new and the sims are still developing arias and some unknown arias too. The arias on the map are the arias that are fully developed. The main source of transportation is Boats, Automobiles and Bicycles but a airport has been proposed.

I like the map you're working with. Hand-made or is it something you downloaded? Wonder where the airport would go too. That strip of land off the big island seems like a good spot, if a bit out of the way of everything else, but you could always go the route of Kansai Intl. and make your own island for it. Looking forward to some close ups and a bit of a tour. Until then, nice start.

R #1:Remember the whole region hasn't been developed yet I'm thinking of putting it on a sepperate island in a bigger city that I havn't made yet.

R #2:Yes this is a custom region made by hand. It is hard to harmonise the elevation of each tile with eachother.

UPDATED MAP


The New city on the map I will show you first. It is Called Maple Bay.




Maple Bay is mostly a bedroom community but it is also the shopping capital with 3 local brand designer studios and 4 local brands.


Heres a nice night photo as you can see the 12:30 ferrie is leaving.


Dennis hawker is a high end dept store for clothes accessories and furniture. It was founded in 1984 and remains in this building and is the trendiest brand to have in the whole nation of Miliwaki Islands.


This is Dennis hawkers house the owner of Dennis Hawker. He is the richest man in the Nation ... or atleast so far.


Talking about shopping the Maple Bay Mallway has underground parking and 4 international companies. It was built in 1994 but construction was only finished in 1997 because of construction flaws. It features a seasonal plaza rented spaces heated stores although tempratures in the winter are temprate anyways, underground parking and 3 floors 2 open to surface 1 underground floor.

So how about we stop at JB's Malt and icecream shop hmmm?


Here are the 2 most expencive condos. (right) Ocean View (left) Maple Bay Luxery Condos. Unlike some places it is considered more upercrust to have a luxery condo with views than a medium house.


Houses sprawl in the suberbs and so do buissneses. Club Foods is a Grandian Based Company from (Grand Forks BC my CJ at Simtropolis) and since this is a colony of the Grandian Federation than this store was set up here because to go international they would have to go through alot more paperwork and besides theres not much competition.


Gloria field health center a state of the art hospital that was built in the 2005 housing boom to suit a larger town that long outgrew plain old medical centers.


Post block 1934. It was built in 1934 just before the ecenomic bust. It was added a 2nd floor in 1947 and had to be upgraded quite a few times but it still serves as the main local post office.

Well time for a goods night rest. Lets all book reservations at the Westin after supper.

Silver: $100/night       additions compared to premium: bigger (HD)  TV, more lavished furnishings, Small Kitchen, eating nook.

I like the expansion of the map, and it's nice to see that you've terraformed it yourself. It is a bit tricky to get the borders to match up sometimes, but you've done a fine job. I like the look of the first community we get to see here. Maple Bay may look small, but from your pics it seems that there is plenty to see. Remarkably reasonable prices for the Westin too. I'm curious to know the story behind the plane you can see in the overview though. I didn't notice it mentioned in the update. As for updating your "membership," it's based on post count and will go up with time. Nice work with the update.

I meant airplane. Look just to the right of the Cub Foods in the overview pic at the start of the update. The park there with the plane just across the road from it.

Oh that plane was Called Betties nightmare it was an anti sub from 1944-1949. It was in the Fox Trot squadron and scored 43 bombing runs and 5 enemy fighter kills.
