Hi all, I hope I have posted this question in the right place, it is related to a CAM lot.

When I datpacked my CAM models and Lots it reported this error:

********************* ERROR *********************
in examplar 0x6534284AL 0xD3D5AF87L 0x1491265EL
located in E:\Intrepid\Windows Documents\SimCity 4\Plugins\CAM\R$\R$9_4x4_SFBT Pre-Fab Low Rise Double Block.SC4Lot

*************************************************

Can anyone help me with this?  ()what()

I also got this message before. After trying three times I just ignored it.

I made that lot, if I remember correctly, and it was scrutineered by the BSC Scrutineers at the time. I am not sure what the error would be. I used the X-Tool and just added props to it.

Cheers guys, i'll just ignore it and carry on playing :)

The file R$9_4x4_SFBT Pre-Fab Low Rise Double Block.SC4Lot contains two building exemplars:

  • TGI 0x6534284A, 0xD3D5AF87, 0x14912648
  • TGI 0x6534284A, 0xD3D5AF87, 0x1491265E

Those two both belong to the building/prop family 0x51900006, which is the building that is used on the lot.
However, both those building exemplars are exactly the same...

All properties are the same, even the Resource Key Type 1 properties are identical,
pointing to the model at TGI 0x5AD0E817,0xCFC88A5C,0x00180000.
I assume one of them should have pointed to the red model with TGI 0x5AD0E817,0xCFC88A5C,0x70180000. ::)

The SC4Lot file also contains an unused text file with TGI 0x2026960B, 0x6A386D26, 0x1491265E.

I cannot understand why DatPacker would report any of those as an error though...
The only error in the game would be that the building itself never would appear as the red version,
whereas the other building, which is a prop, can appear in both liveries.

Now the question is, do I need to fix it? :P

Preferably yes, to remove some of the repetition and to either slim down the file size, by eliminating the text file, or use the text file, though I don't know what it is for.

Same problem.  Changed the Resource Key to refer to the second model as suggested by RippleJet.  Error message gone.  Thanks!
