I was already planning to do one of those.

In the meantime, I've been refining the various models I've been working on, and also testing out my own share of the Cities XL closed beta... as well as some Norwegian police car models from Glenni which I will convert into automata and release when ready.

I'll probably avoid doing that, since our expectations of the future are always totally different from what really happens... for example, in 1920 nobody expected a new world war within twenty years, and throughout the twentieth century everyone expected flying cars to be just around the corner... here we are with a good start into the 21st century and there are only a handful of flying cars but they're just ludicrously expensive curiosities...

So no, I won't make futuristic police cars because I'm positive that whatever i make will be totally wrong...

I do have a few secret projects, but since they're secret I can't type them at all, invisible or not, because i dont know if i can get them to work so why post something i can't surely do?
In the meantime I've done a bit of texture work and come up with this, along with much more:

I will be out of town from tomorrow, July 2, until July 16, and will be unable to work on any of my projects until I return. Hopefully when I get back i can fast-track some great stuff I haven't mentioned much...

Hi nerdly_dood. I really like your automata mods made so far, but I would like to put in a little wee request (or two).

Would you be able to make something with textures to look like this

And This:

These, as you may have guessed, are from the New Zealand Police, and St. John Ambulance, also in NZ.

I'm not too worried about the shape of the model it's applied it to, just the paint style. Given some form of template, I could make the textures myself, probably.

I've been intending to create a blue/yellow and a blue/orange NZ police car for quite some time but I haven't gotten around to it, but I have a few skins I'd like to make when I get back home. Rest assured, the NZ police car will come in due time.

As for the ambulance, that certainly seems like something I could easily do - easier than the police cars as well... Consider it done.

If only now we could figure out how to have two police cars, because the yellow and blue one (Highway Patrol) would be so cool as well as the orange one. If your ever looking at police vans again, perhaps you could also do one to match the NZ cars?

It is indeed possible to use multiple police car models, and I do intend to release additional models that are used in addition with the regular Replacement models I usually do.

Somewhere I heard that the NZ police was changing all their vehicles, highway patrol and regular police, to be either blue/orange or blue/yellow, but I can't remember which... and I can't remember where I heard it either.

Hmm. I have never heard anything like that, (it could be true - probably phasing out the yellow design) but I am quite certain that blue and yellow is reserved for 'Highway Patrol' at the moment, anyway.

If you want me to, I am still happy to make the textures for the cars.

If you are still up for requests...here in NC, we have a few of the chargers running around for all law enforcement (I'm sure all the states do). Since I have not seen any requests for North Carolina law enforcement vehicles, how bout it?

I can't find the New Hanover county Sherriff cruiser...but that's fine cause the colors are butt ugly...Brown with a big gold star.

I won't be able to make a GTA4 ambulance or fire truck to my satisfaction since I can't make rotating light effects; however, I do intend to release a GTA4 LCPD car (I hope to make two - one based on the Police Patrol, and the other based on the Police Cruiser) as well as a NOOSE cruiser.

My releases from now on will be smaller, so I can make more frequent releases. My next three releases will be the pack of Norwegian police vehicles, with models made by Glenni with minor tweaks from me; a pack of German and Austrian police vehicles (which I hope will also be released at SimCityKurier); and another police car pack containing the white police cars and fancy highway patrol cars shown above, as well as a bunch of various black and white police cars. After that, I have a vague idea of a few things, but nothing as close to release as those. (They will be released in the order that I finish them. I cannot guarantee they'll come out in the order above, although I'm thinking that the German vehicles probably won't be the next release.)

I have just finished the NZ police car skins... Not easy! Any police car scheme with large repeating patterns is difficult, because they must match up properly with parts of the car and whatnot... Exhausting! But I'm done. The NZ police cars will also be available in blue/yellow with small red "Highway Patrol" text at the rear, and in blue/orange, as well as the blue/yellow version below. (I've toned down the too-bright yellow a bit, though... That was very easy, especially compared to making the design in the first place)

I've also updated my nonspecific white police car group to fit with my HD scheme, and will soon follow with images of the HDified black and white group. Here is a sample of the white police cars (See more here)
