I just recently ran the CAM cleanitol file and I got a huge list of missing dependencies. So does that mean I have to install them all? Isn't the cleanitol file made for check if you have files that would mess up your CAM install? I am confused...

Here are some of the missing dependencies:

A Cleanitol file can both check and remove outdated files, and check for all needed dependencies.
In this case the dependencies are indeed needed if you want to avoid brown boxes in the game.

Yes, you need to download all of those, but only keep the included SC4Model files (those that are listed as missing).
Discard all SC4Lot and SC4Desc files in those STEX uploads.

Thanks!

I didn't know the desc and lot files needed to be removed.
A few more quick questions:

What about .dat files? Should those be removed as well or no?

I am currently using the NAM simulator Z (high) traffic module, is that going to work with CAM? Because it seems that CAM requires even high traffic stats. But on the other hand I don't really have traffic problems in my cities that have stage 13-14. They don't even use monorail (even though Z was supposed to make them use it, but thats another issue entirely).

Man I love what you guys are doing. I wish EA would release the source code for SC4 and this stuff could be integrated and we could have in-built dependency resolver. I think by this point the only people who play SC4 are "hardcore" fan anyways...

Dat files normally (if they are large) include models as well, so I would leave those.
That is the case e.g. with the file 20 Fenchurch Street_Essential.dat.

If they are very small, just a few kB each, then they are probably just lots and descs and can be deleted.
Keep a backup of them just in case though... ;)

Yes!
You might want to read this post and onwards though. ;)
