Hello Derry,
I have always found it interesting to see how one goes from "A" to "B" and your route seems like a very good one to me!
As for the differences, if it weren't for the above people finding them first I never would have noticed.  I have never really been that good at "Finding Waldo". $%Grinno$% ;)

Look forward to your next update.

Hi Derry, first of all , congratulation on reaching the OSITM, for the third (or fourth.. ) time ! Congrats !

That animation looks fantastic my friend, It's nice to watch the development of a city step by step time after time, and shown how much work you've spent on it, and that is fantastic. Your farmlands are always fantastic, and are in the best I ever seen. your road layout is well done, and give the feeling of a real city, good work !

I wish you a good month here in the OSITM section, I hope it will be good, but when I see your last one, I've no doubt on it !  ;)

Regards,
-Arthur.

I've got to say "sorry", since I have never written here before even though it's definitively not my first visit &apls &apls
I'm astonished each time I come here. Some of your pictures just look so real
The recent updates look perfect and they're a big inspiration for me and my work on my own fields / rural areas.

Congratulations to the OSITM award - you deserved it and used your time really well.
I'm looking forward to more ,

Quite a good way to give an overview, Derry. Lots and lots of farms, I like farms. I especially like the use of the small c.p. houses, gives a good feeling of historic farms. (That's from the previous update. :) )

Great job on your MD, Derry,

Oh, not again!  $%Grinno$%  What's the deal with the i-word lately?  I'm sure that's what you're trying to hide there.  $%Grinno$%  It looks like you have a severe drought going there, but I imagine it will "rain" again before the next update.

Well Its been a great week here in OSITM especially to be the first as part of the 4in1 Special.
Thank you all who have commented, visited or helped in any way with the weeks events.

In a way I'm glad I'm coming to the end of the week as with so many wonderful comments and
the amount of praise given as my head is now swollen enough :D :D
but I still have something up my sleeve for you all .

Now first things first, where did all that water go?

Don't worry its not a bug or anything silly  $%Grinno$% its something I did myself  ???

You see I have developed my own way of detailing river beds but it means I cant have any water in the tile when I do it. But if I do summat silly like raise the terrain level of course all my hard work in building the tile will vanish, so what to do?

Well I use a MOD. Specifically one made by BLaM. one that changes the sea level in game.
So I drop the in game water level by 50 meters or so and of course when you open the city tile this is what you are faced with.

Right now as you can see from above pic the river bed is pristine land just waiting to be  :-\developeddetailed.
Now I also turn on the contour lines so that I can see the approximate waterline give or take a few meters

Then I start to paint the river bed with the various mayor mode plop flora and stuff.

try to imagine the flow of the river as you things the flora and rocks on. areas when stuff
accumulates like logs and smaller rocks, etc that get washed downstream and lodged in
nooks and crannies along the shore

you can see here where I started to paint some of Goldiva's rocks in the river bed

Now some close ups of the areas marked above

Ok then it for the moment of truth. Save all your work and exit game. remove mod and
fire up the game again ::).
Your region shot will look odd as the tile has no water but open the tile and your water will have reappeared.
Quick tip. Reconcile the tiles edges in god mode to stop annoying glitch in region view. As long as you didn't do any terraforming at the tiles edges no worries

So what has all the hard work given us?

Hmm not bad  ;D

How about some more then eh?

And the overall view of it all

Now a little shot that I really like  ;)

Well I hope you enjoyed my week as much as I did.
Sorry I didn't get to finish the tile but I did my best to complete as much as possible.
Personally I think this is some of what I would call my best stuff and its been a pleasure to share
it with you all.

There are still questions to be answered and the island to develop so I'll keep those for the
next installment.

But for now I'll take my leave and clear the stage for the next Mystery Guest as part of the 4in1 special.

Well if you enjoyed your week a lot, I certainly did enjoy it as much as you did, Derry.

I'd never actually taken extremely careful looks at Tales at Tea Time before this week, and the week as made me glad that I had.

That's an interesting effect, and a very innovative trick! I ever need a lot of underwater flora plopped I know that this is the place to look. What was this certain modd by BLaM? Perhaps a linkie?

That was a marvelous update and expect me to comment here from now on, Derry.

Nice work Derry. I like the trick for lowering the sea level. It gives more options for the flora you can use, and use it you did. I really liked the 3rd pic up from the bottom. The transition back into deep water is really well done. The last pic at sunset is quite nice too. Must be slow moving water for all those plants to grow so dense. Well done and congratulations on a well done Week in OISTM.

I have a confession, Mr Cat
