Congrats on your OSITM, Dustin!

The Commonwealth Hall square looks excellent with all the shrubbery and trees. I, personally, would've rotated the building (if it would fit, not sure ::)) so that the steps are leading down to the fountain plaza. I read that you are getting a lot of opinions on how to change the area and although I did see some benches surrounding the planter trees in the fountain plaza, there should be more. Those Sims deserve to have a seat on a nice day and soak in the beautiful scenery after all!

Also, a very nice selection of buildings. All of the glass-clad skyscrapers look out onto the square, giving those office workers a nice view. Those NDEX buildings are a great fit there.

Just out of curiosity; any plans on small towns or farmlands? That's something I'd like to see from Marathon, whenever you get the chance...

WOW! Well, it's been sooooooooooooooo long since there's been any activity in Marathon, I feel so very disappointed in myself. I would like to thank the OSITM Committee—a wonderful group of friends of which I have been a member in name only lately—for giving me this week-long opportunity to try and get back into the swing of things a bit!

So, what do we have planned for this week? Despite my hectic schedule, I simply wouldn't be me if I didn't have a few ideas tucked up in my sleeve...

UPDATE XLVI
To Market, To Market...
Part I: Introduction and Background (OSITM 4-in-1, Day 1)

8 November 2009

We'll start with a question: How many of you have been to...

...Boston, Massachusetts?

If you answered "Yes" to that question, I have a follow up: Did you visit the...

...Faneuil Hall Marketplace in your travels?

If you answered "Yes" to that, then you'll have a bit of a frame of reference for what I'm planning for this week! If you answered "No," that's OK, too! Just follow along during the week and hopefully, you'll enjoy yourself anyway!

Let's jump to...

Tile R, which will be the site of our future marketplace! Here...

...is a close-up of where we'll be working.

The plan for this week is to show one LOT each day for the entire week, putting them all together at the end to make up the Châteauguay Hall Marketplace! For today's lot?

That's it? THAT?!!? What can I say? We've got to start somewhere right? Don't worry, though—things will all come together by Sunday, which, incidentally, happens to be my 28th birthday!

Finally, another treat for Day 1...

...a daily mosaïc!

See you tomorrow!

Bobbi

Congragulation, Dustin. And nice mosaics.

First off, Dustin, let me give you the congratulations you deserve for getting into OSITM twice in the same 12-month period. It's really a testament to the amazing work you do here in Marathon!

Speaking of which, today's update, as modest as it may be, is another example of that work. If this first lot is a sign of things to come, I can't wait to see the finished Châteauguay Hall Marketplace!

Looking forward to more, as always!

Feel brand new. Be inspired.

Hey Dustin,
Congrats on getting the second week of OSITM.  It was the only way we could get you to do a bunch of updates.  You know some of us are really hurting....going from so many regular updates to very few.  I'm sure some people understand, but I don't.  $%Grinno$% ;) Just kidding.
It's really great to see you back at it, I know the next week with you will be a lot of fun.

Ah, a very good comeback indeed, Dustin.

I've never been to Boston, but I've seen pictures of that marketplace, and I know that you'll do a good job on yours.

Congratulations on your latest OSITM!  I'm glad to see your enthusiasm for the game hasn't waned despite your busy life of late!  I haven't ever been to Boston, but my sisters is in Amherst working on her PhD.  She's been down to Boston a couple of times and I believe she did mention this marketplace!

I took a peek on Google Streetview, it looks like some pretty classy architecture in that area, I'm looking forward to seeing how you're going to incorporate it into Marathon!

Congrats Dustin!

I've not been to Boston, so I'm very much looking forward to this week here.  I'll get to visit in a different way.  :)

JBSimio

Very nice choice, Dustin.  I'm definitely looking forward to this one!

Zack (woodb3kmaster): Hi, Zack! Thanks very much for your very kind words! I hope that the week won't disappoint!

Guillaume (Sciurus): Thanks!

Robin (rooker1): Hello, Robin! Thank you, my very good friend! I figured that only you wouldn't understand about the lack of updates, there's no pleasing you! Ha-ha, only kidding! You've been such a great friend and supporter of everything here and elsewhere, it makes me feel very good inside, my friend. Hope to see you again soon, Robin!

Ethan (ecoba): Thanks, Ethan!

Battlecat: Thank you, my friend!

djvandrake: Thanks!

Jon (JBSimio): Hey, Jon! Glad to see you here, my friend, and I hope you enjoy things this week!

DAY 2!

First...

...today's mosaïc! And...

...our puzzle piece for Tuesday! Not much more of a big reveal, more of a hint, really!

See you tomorrow!

Congratulations on OSITM, Dustin!  &apls

Of course, the mosaic looks great, but I'm also looking forward to seeing the progress that is made on the marketplace.  It looks good so far.  Keep up the good work!

Great update Dustin!! Fantastic work! Hey Robin (and any other moderater/site admin), any chance we could have the posts by Dustin (and about everyone with pics in their sig, board, MD, etc.) fixed? They appear off the topic boundaries and when you try to right something long (like an update for an MD or something) every time you type the screen will jerk up and down as you write and you cannot see what you are typing as well. Because as soon as you start to type, the screen will jerk up and you cannot see it. I am not trying to be pushy or mean mind you, just curious on what causes this? And does anyone else have the problem?

Edit....I'm unsure what the problem is that you are having, everything seems to be working fine for me.  Robin  ;)

My new MD. Check it out if you wish.

Adrian, I miss you man.
