Have there been any mods that allow all the disasters to happen randomly?  It seems completely useless to have disasters in the game that you need to set off yourself!  Is this even a possibility to create a mod for or it's hard-programmed into the code so nothing can be done?

First off, Welcome to Sc4Devotion! And as far as I can tell, no. Sorry. It is hard coded that way. Probably because if, say, you were building something that you took A LOT of time on then you would not want it destroyed right?

My new MD. Check it out if you wish.

Adrian, I miss you man.

Thanks!  Yeah true, we don't WANT it to be destroyed, but it feels almost too easy knowing we don't need to pick up the pieces and rebuild after something tears down our hard work.  Can't turn off earthquakes or tornadoes in real life after all.

What are you talking about disasters do not happen randomly? What about fires? You mean to tell me that has never happened automatically? I have had fires and floods, happen to me involuntary in SC4, completely random. When disasters like that happen, they are inconvenient. After messing around with some stuff, I understand why Maxis had turned auto-disasters off before releasing this game.

Yes but fires are a result of minimal fire coverage, and floods are a result of abuse of Gizmo's rain mod - he's talking about tornadoes and UFOs, they don't happen on their own.
My days here are numbered. It's been great and I've had a lot of fun, but I've moved on to bigger and better things.
