Wondeful job!  I like the diversity of details in your town.  The stream is particularly nice looking!

Delecto

Superbe region and city ManuelR, I especially like the river that passes under the freeway.

Great work!

I love the mattb houses for my burbs as well! They work perfectly don't they? And I love the contrast and brightness of the images. Everything pops off the screen.

The shopping centers, the picturesque river, all of it is great. I do have to agree with some about the proximity of houses to the interchange and highways though. I'm from Chicago, and the suburbs around here often have sound barriers or walls to shield suburban folk's delicate sensibilities from the noise.

Oh and also, give yourself a pat on the back...this MD is so awesome it brought me out of my lurker phase!   ;)

Yeah, great update!!! Really fantastic work on this city!!!

Fantastic work on Cape Cod. You've picked out some great BATs to build an old town center. I love you river too. You've made it look realistic while using minimal grasses and rocks. It's really great.

Cape Cod has a very nice combination of buildings at its centre. And the grassy riverbanks are well done.

Driftmaster07, Yan077, Girafe, Delecto, Bobbi, Tomas Neto: Thank you guys very much for the nice comments!  :)

ecoba, Battlecat, calibanX, kwakelaar: Thank you guys. The diversity of buildings and Bats has it's price. &mmm My PlugIn folder is almost 1.5GB now... and it needs several minutes to load the game. :( But yeah I think the result is hopefully worth wating.

GreekMan: Thanks. I will post a regional view later, at this time I have some problems with the region view. The big maps have like a little black stripe at their bottom... looks horrible... &mmm ()what() The pipe is made by Chrisadams3997. You can download it at his thread - http://sc4devotion.com/csxlex/lex_filedesc.php?lotGET=1657

cubby420: Yes, you're right these buildings are awsome. :) ;) I guess I have to be more careful building highways near residental housing. It's just that I don't like to "waste" space. :D

For today I got a bigger update as usual. :) I've made some shots of the enormous suburbs of Arlington-Mesa. Later you will see how these suburbs blend into farmland and forest.

As you can see the avenues are very crowded with cars.

Here you see some comercial and industrial areas near the airport, and also with an interstate connection.

A picture for our railroad fans. :D This is the only railroad from downtown Arlington to the south, passing the airport.

Typical subrubs, with an old towncenter along the boulevard.

Mesa-park is one of the biggest parks in the Arlington-Mesa metropolitan area. It's beautifully embedded in the residental areas.

Random residental neighbourhood.

Now it should, I had some problems with imageshack... sorry

Your suburbs are excellent. I especially like that commercial district with the water storage tank in the center. That's just what I see every day here in the Upper Midwest.

Great looking update!  Your suburbs look excellent!  Very nice job on that shopping center as well.

Diversity always has it's price.  Mine is pushing up towards 2.5 gigabytes at this point.

sumwonyuno

Very nice suburbs!  Those trees are coving the street quite well.

Very nice city, with great suburbs!!! Fantastic work!!!

cubby420

Well far be for me to tell such an excellent mayor how to run his city!  ;)

As usual, your suburbs are both realistic and gorgeous. This has quickly become my favorite diary. I build with a very similar style to you, but without the same...oh how do I say...awesomeness.  &apls

adroman

*drools*

You have a talent for suburbs! They look fantastic...

The Photoshopping that you integrate into your excellent layout and buildings makes things so much more realistic.

I'm very envious of your suburbia...  ;)

Merry Christmas,
Adrian.

Some more pictures from the Arlington-Mesa suburbs. As you can see, the people there are very sporty. Nearly every highschool has a football team, and at the city border is a golfcourt for the older part of the population. :D

Great suburbs, and nice farms too !
