okay - i opened my city and this snow is creeping across the whole thing!  i only have two cities in this region and the other city doesn't have this problem.  it starts at the top left and is going diagonally across the screen.  recently i have installed two additional gigs of memory - which hasn't caused any problems anywhere else.  could that be the culprit or is it something else?  take a look and let me know.  thanks!  DeeCee

There's an easter egg in the game that makes snow appear on high altitudes on Christmas day. That could be culprit :)

NAM + CAM + RAM + SAM, that's how I roll....

thingfishs

I remember the first time this happened to me, maybe three Christmases ago, and I was pretty worried myself until I figured out what was going on. :)
(for those that don't know you can make this happen deliberately by changing your computer date to the 25th of Dec)

Haljackey

I have yet to play SC4 on Christmas...

I really wanted to do so yesterday but I forgot.  Ah well, I could trick my PC into thinking its Dec 25, but that's too much effort lol

Andreas

Well, you can always use the "snow" cheat from the Extra Cheats DLL. ;)

I didn't have snow on the 25th. Maybe because I have the dutch version. Too bad :(

That's odd, I've the Dutch version as well and I do get the snow.

Andreas

The Maxis snow will only appear at a certain height - if you were using an all-flat Dutch map, the altitude probably was too low. ;)
