Part 3.1 : Bonita City                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                              For many years i have been playing Sim City. And always the same region. I started way before any terraforming or Nam. However, during the last year i realiced i'm never going to finish this region. Both because i am not happy with how it have turned out, after all ther have been much happening since i started. Also becouse i have become shop owner of a convenience store now, so i have little time left for playing.

Well even if i am not gonna continue playing this region, it might be interesting enough to post some of it. But remember : Take it as it is. Some parts are very old, and some are new.

Today i am just gonna post a region overview, so you get some idea of where i am later on.
The region is big, and if you want a complete region view, i made this link for you :

And here is a smaller picture of the region :

I decided to call the region : Farawaystan.
The largest city at south-west is the capital Victoria City, with a population of 1.2 million. Tomorrow i will show you around there.

kwakelaar

Indeed that is a big region, nice with the ragged coastline.
I look forward to see what you will be showing us.

Hello QT

Looks like you've been working on the region for a while. It is HUGE! Good Luck with your diary.

This is indeed a wonderful looking region! Looks like you did some extensive farming south of Victoria City. I'm looking forward to see more of that!
If it's a good idea, go ahead and do it. It's much easier to apologize than it is to get permission.

Part one : Victoria West.

Thank you all for comments. I hope i will be able to show you much off Farawaystan.
I will start with this overview of Victoria :

Victoria have a population of about 1.2 million.
As you can see there is a canal crossing the city, and is noticable in many of pictures you will see from Victoria.
Theres many highways of the standard Maxis style going out from Victoria to some neighbour cities. I didnt use NAM highways simple because i started making the highways before NAM came up with anything.

What you will see now is the western part of Victoria. That would say some parts west of the highway going south out of city.

One of Victorias churces. As you can see, i had some shadow problems in the park. I dont know why.

At the highway.

One of the bridges who crosses the canal.

Well i would love adding more pictures but Imageshack have started acting real weird. So i leave it with this and try adding more tomorrow.

Sciurus

Waow, this is wonderful!! I really like the canal &apls

Wow. Nice update. Love the region shot as well as the close ups.

The park lots at the church look really good, and I like the a bit wear down atmosphere at the canal. Only thing I miss a bit is railways ...  :D

Take care my friend!

Q-Tips

kwakelaar : Thank You! You will have the chance taking a closer look at some of the coastline real soon.

jmyers2043 : Thanks. It have not been that big job. I just done a little now and then. And after a few years it ended up big.

Rady : Yes, the farming in south and east of Victaria are rather heavy compared to the more remote places in north and east. I will show some of the farms later. I hope.

Sciurus : Thanks for your comment. And by the way, i love looking at your work. You have had many nice pictures.

riiga : Takker så mye. Jeg er glad du liker bildene. Thanks.

canyonjumper : Thanks for your comments. You will soon see many parts of both the larger and smaller cities.

Bernhard : Thanks for your comments. And YES : We got to have some railroads. I think i need to get back to this!

bat, Tomas Net, canyonjumper : Thanks for your comments.

Heres a preview of whats gonna be my focus for tomorrow :

Yes! You might have seen this before. I posted it on "Show us your..." last summer.
What i was thinking about tomorrow, is to show you more detaied pictures of this district. And maybe show you what you cant see on the mosaic.
By the way, can you see where this is on the region view?

Gorgeous job on both updates, but this mosaic is particularly impressive!  Beautiful work on the cross border matching!  I can tell you've put a lot of time into building this area!

TiFlo

Wow, fantastic mosaic! Following that road from inland to the coast through that canyon... that's just amazing.
