grayscale to region

there is a tutorial on the internet that describes how to make a grayscale image to a region, but it is long and hard, there's got to be a program out there to make it easier, right?

You could use the SC4 Mapper [linkie] or SC4 Terraformer [linkie] by Wounagaine. They both let you import greyscale maps, but Terraformer lets you terraform the region in the program. You can also import .SC4M files, which are way better than greyscales.
