Is their any way to lower the occupancy of Mattb325's houses?
In my city, what should be a single family home has an occupancy of 50/60, it's like having a big suburb of apartment complexes.  What should be small towns, have the traffic issues of Manhattan :bomb:  it's also causing a big problem with jobs and so on.  In a town of 3000 (which should only be about 1000) it has 2 big box stores and one high rise office building and still not enough jobs!  If anyone knows how I could go into this file and edit it, like I would in the Plugin Manager, that would be a dream come true!! &sly

Well basicaly....all of them :)  Or any custom lot downloaded from the LEX for that matter.  Is their anyway to change the "stats" of custom lots not made by myself.

The stats are done with the PIM-X abd are based on the volume of the buildings: the stats are designed to sit somewhere between CAM and RH usage.

However, if you want to change them, you only need to use something like the reader (or the SC4 tool which is much more visual) to change the occupant numbers within the desc files to something that suits your needs - I have purposely left the desc files within the downloads for that reason.

You need to remember that by changing the stats to RL type values you will unbalance the game. SC4PIM - PIM_X - is set to work within the parameters Maxis used for buildings where occupancy is concerned. Many early buildings have been changed to RL values which means they may grow too often or not often enough. Unfortunately SC4 is a game not RL.

I'll have to try the SC4 tool, there seems to be alot I can do with it :)  I am not looking to change the occupancy too low, more like to a 10 or 13, like the default Maxis, hopefully just enough to fix the traffic and lack of jobs.

EDIT: Oh, silly me!!! I forgot to thank you guys for your help! :P  So thank you and see you around the forums!
