Hi folks, I am having a little problem here with the dl of the new Nam. I get the .exe file but I get confused on what to do after that. For example Ill pick from the " batch a simple", but then it wont let me pick any others or it won't let me check all. Thats first problem.. Second problem is all I seem to get are readme files. Doesn't it have .dll files or something? I have it in my plugin files. I tried moving the read me files over but that isn't working either, so hence I am a bit confused. I read the actual read me text that says what to do, but it's not very clear to me.... Anyhow hope I made myself clear on my befuddlement! Thanks for the help in advance. I wish I had pictures for dummies! Maybe once I learn it  Ill post just that! yig!

Are you on an Apple Mac?
If you aren't then just double click the exe and it will show you what to do next.

If you are on a mac. Then you need to download the mac version of the NAM

Thanks for answering... Im on a pc and I do double click and then thats where the confusion sets in. I end up with only read me files and I cant check all the boxes to dl the whole thing, just like only one at a time for choice. Then like I said, all I get are read me files or files done in notepad

What you get when you download the NAM is a ZIP file (also called "ZIP folder" in Windows). You need to double-click this ZIP file and when it opens, you'll see several readme files and said EXE file. By default, Windows doesn't display the file extensions, so you rather only see a file called "NetworkAddonMod_Setup". Double-click this file, and you'll get a wizard that guides you though the installation process.

I understand what you folks are saying, and I have done all this. Im not exactly new to computers. I get other bats and things just fine. Let me also mention, this is my first nam dl, before someone says I need to remove the old stuff as well.I go to setup. the wondow opens and says check files you want. I can only get one check option so I pick the first one under a batch easy. then all it does is load or open readme type files that are written in notepad. If I check anything else it unchecks what I have all ready checked I do NOT get any type of .dll looking file. Thanks for trying to help though, Im just getting frustrated! Do I need to start my cities all over or something?

Some NAM items are mutually exclusive, so only one option can be selected from certain branches of the optional component selection tree. Also, the NAM doesn't contain any DLL files, it's just a bunch of DAT files.

I just went through the first part of the installation process for the new NAM and I don't see anything called "batch a simple". The part where you select what you want to be installed begins with what kind of installation you want....recommended, full or minimum...LH drive. RH drive etc. and then you can go on to make further selections if you want to customize it.

Are you sure you downloaded the right file? It should be this one:
