get downloads to work

i love the site but i do not know how to use down loads in the game they are not there

Well for the most part the downloads are installers here. Find where you downloaded the files, as unlike the official site downloads, the lots aren't downloaded directly to your game, which in the long run you'll find a lot easier to keep track of your game files. Unzip the file and run the installer. Along with it there will be a readme file, which will tell you where the file installs in your game, 99% of the time this will be in your "Mydocuments/simcity/plugins" most of the installers ussually make subfolders as well.

Please read the "readme" file as this will give the information you require and also may direct you to other files you might need as well for the download to function correctly in your game.

Hello. I'm new to the site. When I used to play SC4DE, all of these plugins on the BSC LEX (did I get that right?) were available on Simtropolis.com.

Now that I've resumed playing, in trying to rebuild my Plugins folder, I've been directed here. I've registered and logged in, but when I get to the BSC/LEX, I'm asked to Login again which I cannot do as the sight always goes to a gorilla scratching his head.

When I follow a link to a Prop page (e.g. http://sc4devotion.com/csxlex/lex_filedesc.php?lotGET=750), I cannot find the link to download the item. Is the page showing me all of it's content? Is it because the site sees me as a visitor and not logged in? I AM logged in to SC4Devotion as it addresses me by my screenname.

I would appreciate any help; I'm enjoying my game, but there are "brown boxes" & missing textures which sort of ruins the overall look of my cities.

You need to register separately for the LEX.
This site is run by Jeroni, the LEX is run by BSC.

You are of course free to use the same username and password on LEX as here on Devotion.
