Hi folks,

today not so much news. I made just two more versions of the streetlights from Unter den Linden so that the streetlight series are completed for the moment. And "Alter Fritz" got his fence:

this beauty was located on the cross Unter den Linden / Friedrichstraße

this one is an overhanging prop... was located in several streets of the better districts of Berlin

and frederic got his fence so that the monument ist completed now.

hope you like it

Fabina and Peter,

Thanks for the correction. I didn't think right at the moment. It is already too long ago that I visited Berlin.

And furthermore: no Berlin is complete without Fritz, so that addition is great. Also I like the Potzdamer Tor. Please continue! I hope you have a long vacation form whatever business is taking your dayly real life time!

Hermoso!. I've always wanted to have the fixtures of Unter den Linden as they were at the turn of the century (and I had been too lazy to make them ;) ). The only thing I don't like are the textures of the statue, they vary too much in contrast and saturation, specially for the fence. Something more neutral and homogeneus would look better in my oppinion.

Hi folks,

I don't know why, but i decided to do the Altes Palais from Unter den Linden so that the ensemble around Opernplatz is almost completetd. So this is what i got until now. The rooftexture isn't the final one and there are still some details missing at the model.

hi folks,

well, this is a little bit off topic, but i feeled like lotting a little. And like the Altes Palais ist done (just e rerender needed) i made a scene, inspired by old photographs of Unter den Linden. So something like this it looked in the beginnig of the las century:

Also a lot of thanks to carlos for making this scene possible. just enjoy!

A delightful scene. You should put this in the picture contest. :)

I did not know there are carriages. Are they ploppable or skins for cars? Very nice work indeed.  &apls

@Schulmanator:

thanks a lot, maybe i will. The carriages should be in a RT-Prop-Pack used by some casas of carlos (debussyman). They are just plopables, there are no real streets in this scene.

Man! You did what I always wanted to do... fantastic work &apls &apls
I love your version of the Alte Palais!
and one "plus-point" (does that word exist ()what()) for making it match with Debussymans Königliche Bibliothek

The lotted scene looks fantastic, too &apls - the only thing I could "criticize" would be, that the square of the Humboldt-Universität is exactly opposite to the Bebelplatz  ()stsfd()

Fabian ;)

Andreas

Usually, I don't like photoshopped SC4 pics, but I think in this case, a little filtering couldn't hurt to replicate your historic example - I hope you don't mind. :)

Andreas

peterycristi

of course i don't mind Andreas! Looks amazing with this filtering. I would have done that by myself but i only have gimp and in spanish, so i have really no idea how to do it  :D.
Well, to complete this here is the rendering of the Altes Palais. The thing i'm very proud of is the ivy in the pergola, because this was the first time i made that kind of organic stuff.
Of course the plan was to make it work with debussymans Alte Bibliothek to be able to complete the lot.

It is certainly looking good. And a collaboration between you and Carlos would be great - both of you make very compatible material and of the highest quality.

Hi folks,

I've solved a technical problem with an old project and so i was going on these days, cause i think that this beauty is worth to be finished. So this is what i got so far:

It's still the good old Hotel Bellevue from Potsdamer Platz, Berlin. It was located next to the famous Palast Hotel and Fürstenhof. In 1928 it was crashed to get space for the Columbus Haus.
