The NAM Team is pleased to announce the release of Version 29 of the Network Addon Mod!  Here's a look at what's new:

  • New Underground Rail puzzle pieces have been added.
  • Numerous RUL, texture and pathing errors have been fixed, including the Car and Passenger Ferry issue.
  • NAM Controller and Bridge Controller files have been updated.
  • Updates to the Traffic Simulator Configuration tool to support capacity improvements to TuLEPs, the RHW and the NWM.
  • Nightlighting fixed on Elevated Rail/Tram vehicles.

In addition, the following NAM component files were updated:

NAM Essentials Version r84
PLEASE NOTE: If you have downloaded NAM Version 29, you already have the files in NAM Essentials r84 and do not need to download it.

RealHighway Mod Version 4.1.0

  • Numerous improvements to the Neighbor Connector pieces, including the elimination of the unnecessary arrows and the "Eastside" placement issues on multi-tile Neighbor Connectors.
IMPORTANT! As the fix for the "Eastside" issue required reorienting the puzzle piece, you will need to rebuild any and all RHW-6C, RHW-8S or RHW-10 Neighbor Connections.
  • Several pathing issues fixed.
  • Textures reprocessed to improve quality, particularly for Zoom 3.
  • Wealth-level issues fixed on several ramp interfaces.
  • Numerous improvements to FLEXFly system, including increased stability and one additional piece (all found under the RHW Curves TAB Loop)
  • Sharp 90-degree draggable curve added to EMIS network.
  • New Curved Ground-to-Elevated MIS Transition pieces added.
  • The RHW-6S now has a higher capacity than the RHW-4.
  • The Elevated RHW-4 and MIS networks now have draggable orthogonal-orthogonal crossings over RHW-6S, RHW-6C, RHW-8S and RHW-10.
  • Universal Lot Editor Textures and Path Files added to support third-party RHW-related Lots.

Network Widening Mod Version 1.1.0

  • The TLA-3, TLA-5, ARD-3, MAVE-6, OWR-3, OWR-4 and OWR-5 networks have all had their capacity increased.
  • Fixes to RULs and path files.
  • Overhanging "bite" added to Orthogonal-Diagonal transition for TLA-3, AVE-2 and ARD-3 networks.
NOTE: Existing Orthogonal-Diagonal transitions may appear a bit "dark" on top upon installation--click over them to update them.

NAM 29? Odd for me to compliment, seeing how my name is GDO29Anagram...  :D

Regardless of the numerical "coincidence," it's nice to see continual progress in these things, and I would like to make a brief thanks for all this:

Thanks, NAM team for making the game even more epic, especially with the RHW. I look forward to see how far this will all go...

I know what I'll be doing tomorrow, that's for sure!  :D  I've been too busy to try this out yet, but I'm about to the place where I'll make time.
Find my power line BAT thread here.
Check out the Noro Cooperative.  What are you waiting for?  It even has electricity.

29 releases? Has it really been that many? So many updates, so much new content! You guys are bug-fixing, code-breaking geniuses!

Can you believe the next one will mark #30? Keep up the outstanding work!

I can't even imagine SC4 without NAM... how did I play before I got it?  :P

Tarkus

Just made a slight update to the NAM and RHW files on the LEX.  An outdated NetworkAddonMod_GroundLightRailxRoad.dat had slipped into the NAM, and the missing preview model textures reported on some RHW puzzle pieces should no longer be missing.

Our apologies for any inconvenience.

By the way, for those who are wondering why this is the NAM version 29 and not NAM August 2010: If we want to release two versions shortly after each other (for whatever reasons) we can simply increment the version number. As you can imagine, incrementing the month number is not quite as simple as that ;) Or we could call a bugfix "version 29.5" or similar, which is less confusing than "NAM August 2010 Update".

That is not to say we will need a bugfix though...
1. Install SC4+RH
2. Install LEX (CD&DVD helps) and latest NAM + updates
3. Play the game
4. ? ? ? ?
5. Profit!
