Hi Bernhard, this picture could be a 10 out of 10 if it wasn't for the notorious Maxis Highway. I know, I know, old donkey ... new tricks ... ;) but here it really distracts from the otherwise perfect scene. Just my opinion, no offense meant. :)

That is a great little farmhouse there Bernhard!

Hello all!

I'm currently working on an entire (or as entire as possible!) rural region and this is where I currently am with my first city.

Any suggestions for improvement or mods that could enhance my cities would be hugely appreciated! :)

Thank you for looking.......

Here's a rural area I've been playing around with.

The electric companies in my RL area don't allow tall trees under power lines, but wildflowers are OK.  This is what I'm trying to recreate in this picture.  The farmer and even the oil companies with wells in this area each brought in a fair amount of money from the electric company when the big line came through, so they were more than happy to put up with it.
Find my power line BAT thread here.
Check out the Noro Cooperative.  What are you waiting for?  It even has electricity.
Want more? Try here.  For even more electrical goodies, look here.
Here are some rural power lines.

Great powerline! Love it.
And I like the perspective of the picture. It makes the FAR road and power line look straight and the lots fractional angle.

Spectacular view you have there, Louis! I love the overall feel of the photo - it reminds me of the Taiwan mountain railway, especially the copper bridge. Awesome!

Here's a view of an agricultural town called Suraya, with a railway line cutting across the fields:

This pic isn't really a "rural" area. It's small, in the middle of no where, quarry:

Hi ,

I come here ( Show us your ...  are interesting threads where to pick up ideas) with my « rural side » .   ;D

That's a recreation of a real rural scene from Haute-Loire ( France) ; a pedestrian stone bridge crossing the Lignon , a small river where I used to fish with my grandfather when I was  a child ...

Some informations :

- The terrain Mod is from Orange_o , « Pyrenean HD Terraim Mod » , available here : http://www.toutsimcities.com/downloads.php?view=1641 and also visible on Girafe's terrific pîcture currently in competition ...

I think you know very well the origin and authors of others stuff  like ploppable trees , bushes , rocks , cows and water ...

Epilobiums ( Fireweeds ) and fisherman are personal Lots . Not as good as I would like , but those are the most proper props I've found ...

Pictures dedicated to David (Orange_o) .
