can you tell me what to do i see it in plug in manager but what do i do from there? i cannot find no edit button or anything and there is nothing under properties

EDIT: Please Read.

Do you see the word models. Click on that and it will show you all the models, Click on Descriptors + button if its up and + button on All if thats up, all the roots will roll out once you clicked on it, you will have to click and hold on your model name and drag the model that you have created in the area where it show all the roots. So if you want to make your building a landmark building just click and hold on the model name and drag it to landmark. Once your model is at landmark you can double click on the name of your model and edited it. when you finish editing you model you will have to put it in Lot Editor and you can fix up the lot for you model.

I hope this helps.

You can also use PIMX to make the stats.  PIMX works pretty much the same way as SCPM, but it will give back balanced stats based on the size of the building (called a filling degree).

PIMX is a new, and better, program, but it is strongly advised that you read as many readmes about it as you can.

OK i used SC4PM but it isnot showing up in my game... so i close the game and open SC4PM and in the catogory that i added it to.. the SC4Desc file is there but the SC4Model is not there I tried re-adding it but still no luck... WHAT AM I DOING WRONG???? HOW DO I FIX THIS?????

Indisguise

which type of building is it ? and what category did you add it too ?

if it's a plopable lot it will be in the corresponding category, (fire police school, park etc) or possible in the landmark, which is sort of the catch all for plopable buildings.

If the building is a growable, it doesn't show up in the menus, you have to wait til the conditions are correct for it to grow. This can be enhanced by using the block maxis lots giving the game no opption but to grow the lot in question. That or convert the building to a plopable to be able to plop it or use one of the mods that allows you to plop growable buildings.

the model file only needs to be in your plugins folder, the game will find it if it's not in the same file folder as the lot and decs file.  Most likely the model file still in the main root directory ussually this is where the file gets put by the game by default (mydocuments/simcity4/plugins if you used the default install setting). When you locate the all three files I do suggest you put them all in the same file folder so they can be easily found in the future.

If I read this correctly you haven't created a lot yet...
A building by itself cannot exist in the game, it has to be placed on a lot (SC4Lot file) as well.

If you've used Maxis' Plugin Manager, then you should also use Maxis' Lot Editor (available under the EA Support button above).
Otherwise, if you follow Lowkee33's recommendation, you can create both the building exemplar and the lot in SC4PIM (also known as PIM-X).
