I've been looking for a German volksfest (oktoberfest type lot with tents and lots of people, maybe some carnival rides.  Or preferably huge open air concert like woodstock or wacken (German heavy metal fest) with a stage, and a large open field full of crowds of people.  So far I've only found 1 lot, and it doesn't really suit my purposes.  Even a modular approach with a stage and crowds separately would be appropriate.  Any help would be greatly appreciated, I may even write about you in my MD ;)

A large carnival like the Oktoberfest, as they can be found in Germany quite often, has been on my list of things to create since quite a long time. At the moment, I don't know if I can find the typical large beer tents and the huge number of small booths and food stands, but here's what I have so far (far from finished, needless to say):

It looks very good for an unfinished project.  The ground could use some variation, the beer tents are missing, and the rides seem to be organized too squarish, but how can I complain when I can't even bat?  If you ever finish this, please let me know, because I want to put something similar into my MD.  Obviously I would reference you and include a link.  Thanks for posting the picture.  I'm sure nonlinear props like the coaster are very difficult and time consuming to make.

Well, non of these models are mine, they come from the Modular Amusement Park set that is available at the STEX (search for "MAPP"), and thus I can't change the "squarish" look. But I hope to fill it with other props that provide more variety, and I will also add some overlay textures, in case I don't hit the limit for the number of objects on a lot, which is around 1200 or so for props and textures. With 20x10=200 tiles, I won't be able to place more than two textures and four props per tile on average, so I am somewhat limited (maybe I could make two 10x10 lots that fit together, if necessary). Anyway, I pieced this together yesterday within an hour or so, but I hope I'll be able to finish eventually (which can be in a few weeks or months - hopefully not years - so please don't ask for a time frame ;) ). One thing I can tell right away, though: This beast will have a whole bunch of dependencies, at the moment, there are five already, and in the end, there will be ten or maybe even fifteen...
