At the risk of upsetting some people, I'd like to point out again that art128 won after samerton's vote as 24 hours had passed.

...and now, Jordan is winning by the strict vote tally...

Maybe we should get this sorted out, since this is exactly the type of situation that such a rule is intended to avoid. If people don't like it (or don't know it) than it should be done away with. But, as is...its the rule. If its going to stay that way, people should pay attention when they vote.

I agree that the 24hr rule is good to have but it would be nice if there was some kind of mechanism in place to remind people of when time expires or to automatically end it. The problem has seemed to come up more often lately. Not sure how anything like that could be implemented however.
