(UPDATE 1)

This is unexplored region of Columbusland. Courageous immigrants began colonizing the islands. They faced many difficulties in the beginning but now the progress and the wealth of the place attracts immigrants from around the world.

This is the city of Columbus, north of the island region of Columbusland.
The governor's office hired Columbusland Sim Niemeyer to design the city and spared no resources for its construction

EARLY DEVELOPMENT

Ola, ricardomiranda, and welcome to SC4D.. Glad you decided to let us see your cities.

You're off to a nice start I must say, your region is looking good and I kinda like the city you've shown us. Nice, simple and effective.
The only thing I can tell you, is to download a slope mod, because the slope of the road that goes from the highway is kinda.... hard lol.
Anway, I also ask you to write in English, as this forum is an international community, English is the main language.. Although I understand the Portuguese.  :D
Also, don't forget to take a look at the other MDs to get inspiration.

Gostei muito desta actualização ... Boa sorte com o próximo!

Take care,
-Arthur.

More than 100 000 inhabitants in Columbus

One of the secrets of the success of Columbus is its educational system .. the first lady is a teacher and follows the daily lives of city schools. Pictured University Greenfalks

Nardo69

Nice start. :) Quite an elaborated traffic system - I am not sure if you really need that much highways but if you have fun doing them it's OK. ;)

Three formal advices:

1. Number your pictures.
This way commenting (for your readers) and replying (for yourself) will be much easier! ;)

2. Turn off the UDI - symbol.
Just switch to the MySims Menu and turn them off. They distract.

3. Avoid the menu and the yellow Pause Game thingy.
They distract, too. You can either use the hot key Ctrl+Shift+S or use an external screenshot utility. I would recommend you Irfanview especially as the ingame camera is quite buggy. And Irfanview can save your pictures immediately as small JPGs.

Regarding your slopes I totally agree with Arthur.

Another thing I would recommend you is to learn the different puzzle pieces the NAM offers you. You raise your highway out of the trench to connect them with the roads instead of using the appropriate NAM pieces, you use the Maxis overpasses instead of the onslope - NAM pieces etc. Take your time (no one here puts you in a hurry ;) ) and just try them out. You can go through the NAM menus with TAB (forward) and Shift+TAB (backward).

If the trenches are really deep you might want to try to do slopes over 2 tiles. It's a bit tricky but usually worth the effort.

Oh, and please, avoid those avenue level corssings ...  ::)

Take care

Bernhard

ricardomiranda

Very nice start, although I would suggest you want a few days between posting a new set of pics, this way you can get some feed back from the members.  Other than that, Arthur and Bernhard have done a great job in giving the same advixe I would have.

I like what you've got going on here! The only thing that you should change in my opinion is that airport. Try something from Voltaic and his BAT team.

Keep up the good work!

That little island plaza in your latest update looks very nice!  Great start!

Tomas Neto

Hi Ricardo, is fantastic see another brazilian, here in the Devotion!!! Nice start on your MD, my friend!!!
Eu só acho que você deveria utilizar um conjunto maior de puglins, para evitar muita repetição de prédios, e também tomar cuidado com alguns prédios abandonados, pois estas duas coisas juntas deixam a cidade "menos" bonita!!!
