Setting up BAT

Hi all,

I've been meddling with making some models recently, and have a few questions.

So I have Building Architect Toll (BAT) and that is an add-on for Gmax (right? Roll Eyes).  What is BAT4MAX?  Do I have to buy anything for SimFox's or ChrisAdam's versions to work?

I tried using ChrisAdam's version from the LEX today, but after copying the files over I realized that there was no EXE for BAT anymore.

Could someone fill me in on the basic steps to getting the most out of free BATing?

I have GMAX V 1.2 and what I assume is the first version of BAT, if that helps.  Thanks

Yes, the BAT ( building architect tool ) is made for Gmax only. BAT4max, as the name said is made for 3dsmax. However you can use Simfox's BAT4GMAX which is Here!

But you should re-install the BAT first, because this Addon by simfox is a one click installation/update.

I get a "cannot create file" error.  I see that there have been scripts and scenes folder created, can I just drag and drop them in?

Mzp a script is which starts since 3dsmax, you must thus have installed 3dsmax

Is 3Dsmax something to be bought?

Can I get HD for free?

3dsmax is a paying software
however you make HD with gmax. To begin Gmax is already very complete.

So this Image would be HD?  It needs 16 zoom 4 FSH, so that is probably an indicator

rock is HD, but not the trees... And I think the water is HD but I'm not sure

The rocks are by Heblem, and the trees are by ChrisAdams.  I included them to show scale, but I guess the grid does a good job of that.

I am happy that you think that is water .  The first things I have put any effort into have been plopable water and snow.  The premise is that large amounts of small shapes look more random than a few large shapes.  Certainly some work to do on them.
