G'Day Devotees,

Slystone, Muscle Shoals is not a problem. Thanks mate  ;)

Guess what, I caught the map-o-matic smoking again. I don't know how many times I've slapped her fingers for partaking in that filthy habit, but she will not desist she just loves to smoke!

So here's some more of here smokin' eye candy.:satisfied:

The Baltic States comprises an area of 467km by 668km and incorporates Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia. I have scaled it to a ratio of 8.15 to produce this map at 57.344km x 81.92km. Thanks Pivz for your request, I shall PM you a link as I probably will not release this. If others would also like to play this map do not hesitate to PM me for a link.

The following maps were requested by Maestro. I was saving their release to co-incide with the SCC magazine but it would appear as if that has crashed and burned unfortunately.

Nuuk is 57.344km x 57.344km

Nuuk is the capital of Greenland and unfornately their main hyghway goes nowhere except to the other side of the bay. Not even connected to simnation!

Another blitzingly cold place to set your mountain goat sims on.

Uunartoq is 57.344km x 53.248km

A desolate and rugged region for one's hardy sims on the south coast of Greenland. Thanks Maestro again for your great requests.

Again we're at the end of another show, till next time. Tootle pip and thanks for looking.

Don't forget, have a great day!

Cheers

Thanks Ctrl+Z, The map is cooking  ;).

My goodness me I have almost completely got rid of my backlog  :-[ only a couple left and that will be it. As they say in Toyotaland: Oh what a feeling.

So for todays show and tell a fairly recent request from Etorsen.

Ålesund is 45.056km x 45.056km.

Another splendid part of the Norwegian Fjord country.

So sayeth this is the end for today.

Thanks for looking and have a great day.

&apls Exquisite maps dobs, my only wish is that SC4 would run natively on Linux.  %bur2$

Oh well until that happens I will stay tuned for more of your high quality stuff.
And I also thank the people who ask dobs for the maps, because without any requests dobs would find a gold mine and take it all. ;D

marsh

G'Day Devotees

It is always good to get to reply to posts.

Une Ame, Thankyou it's my pleasure to make and upload these maps for people to play on and enjoy.

Aldini little mate, it is good to see you back  :). I hope you had a joyous Christmas and New Year, unfortunately I do not think a port to linux will ever eventuate. Will it run under WINE?

Thanks Marsh, and thanks for the pic. It looks great .

Maestro, Thanks also. Perhaps we can tease a piccy or two from you also.  ;)

And onwards, ever onwards to the show we must go.

This first map is a request courtesy of Slystone2, Thankyou.

Muscle Shoals is 40.96km x 49.152km

Muscles Shoals, Alabama is very big in the music industry as Slystone pointed out.

The next is courtesy of a request from old mate Things, Thanks old mate. I have another for you also, something you mentioned many months ago.

Barrage El Wahda is 40.96km x 40.96km

Barrage El Wahda is a large dam situated in north eastern Morocco.
These are available on a stex or lex near you.

I have some more to show but will have to save them for another day.

Thanks for looking and have a great day

G'Day Devotees,

With all that smoking the Map-o-matic caught fire, I told her that would happen!
I quickly doused her, oiled and greased her and now she's purring like a kitten again... and promised never to smoke again  ;). We shall see  :D.

And with that the show is on again.

This map is a request courtesy of Ctrl+Z of his home town, thanks mate. I have made two versions a large version at 53.248km x 53.248km for Ctrl+Z and this smaller one.

Zaragoza is 20.48km x 20.48km

Zaragoza in Spain has been known by several names, the last one being Saragossa.

The next was requested by HunEthic, Thanks I know I said 3 or 4 weeks in my reply and unfortunately it's been 3 or 4 months. Sorry it sort of got lost in the wash a little. And the other day I was tossing out some bathwater and when I looked or this map I thought I had ditched the baby as well.

Seoul is 69.632km x 57.344km.

Seoul is the capital of South Korea.
Due to it's size Seoul will only be available on the stex.

Hmmm, I've still got more. Oh well till another day.

Thanks for looking and have a great day.

I have another for you also, something you mentioned many months ago.

Hmmm, I wonder what that could be.... An entrance of some kind perhaps?

Love that Seoul map

Dob's, now we have to wait for korean BATs to come (specially their futur supertall towers  ::)).

I was thinking, if you have the time, maybe a Marrakech map with the Atlas mountains around could be a nice idea.

G'Day Devotees,

Wow so much mail, it's like Christmas all over again. I am here again as I will be away down south from tomorrow and will not have access, I thought I'd better get a few maps out.  ;)

Ctrl+Z, Thankyou and you're more than welcome for the map, anytime mate.

Hey Maestro man, yes no change there, he's always around like a dog at a tree, three or four times sometimes.

Jim, nice to see you around these parts again. Thanks, pick map any map and for you today - No Charge.

Thanks old mate, An entrance somebody mention an entrance.

Une Ame, We'll have to find some nice Korean Batters I think, Me I still haven't tried the bat machine yet. But I feel my time will come.  ;) I can make a map of Marrakech for you, no worries although it will be after I get back.

Oh look a matinee show,

Ok this first map is courtesy of a request from WC_EEND, Thanks mate a pleasure.

Gent is 24.576km x 24.576km

Hmm, I can see why they're called the low countries now, not a lot of freeboard here.

Next up is from a bit of a project I have started, with the Antipodean Capital series almost complete I cast around and have decided to make all the out of date requests from simtrops board. It will be a slow project as there are quite few and I don't know if the owners of the requests are even still around. Some will be. Strangely enough Mombasa was on that list then I got a request for it. They will come in no particular order except generally the oldest first.

Lechtenstein is 16.384km x 28.672km

Liechtenstein is a small country in the alps jammed beween Switzerland and Austria. I have not included the river as the elevation difference is about 80m or 265 feet. Makes for a pretty severe chasm.

These will be on stexes and lexes near you soon. (before I leave)

So the matinee is over, Thanks for looking and have a great day.

I just had a quick look at the map of Gent ingame, and every small detail in every river/lake is there, so really this is about as real as it gets I suppose (apart from the real city ofcourse)
Once again, thanks a million for the map and I'll put it to good use.

cheers,
Xander

Dobdriver, your maps are incredibly detailed, and you really have an eye for the detail!
I have used some of your good maps before, but if I may I would like to make a request now: Could you please make a map of Rotterdam (in the Netherlands), with the Europoort and its surrounding?
Here's a map, just to be sure Map of Rotterdam and around. I have always been fascinated with that enormous harbour...
Thank you very much in advance!

Hi everybody!

First of all, thank you again for the map.

I'd like that you make others spanish maps. There's not quality maps (like yours) for the biggest spanish cities. Cities like Madrid, Barcelona, Valencia, Sevilla, Bilbao...
Leisurely, it's just a suggestion and now I'm very busy with Zaragoza  ;)

Thanks mate.
