The SC4 Devotion Forums are no longer active, but remain online in an archived, read-only "museum" state.  It is not possible for regular members to post or use the private messaging system, and no technical support will be provided for any issues pertaining to the forums in their current state.  Attachments (those that still work) are accessible without login.

The LEX has been replaced with SC4Evermore (SC4E), and SC4E maintains an active Discord server.  For traditional forums, we recommend Simtropolis.

is it a good idea to go through the dependencies list download them all to ensure i have all dependencies required for lots before downloading the lots... or should i just download the dependencies as i need them???

just download what you need, some dependencies are incompatible/outdated. And the more there's in your pluginfolder the slower the game will be.

Just download them when you need them. At first, you'll have to download a lot of dependencies. But the more you download, the less dependencies you'll have to download, since you probably already have them...
